Manhattan Bagel
502 E Baltimore Ave, Media, PA
Crema's Take
“Manhattan Bagel in Media is a reliable neighborhood spot where bagels are the main draw—locals rave about the raisin bagels toasted with butter and honey, and it's trusted enough that summer camps order by the dozen for their staff. The service can be inconsistent depending on who's behind the counter, with some customers reporting great experiences while others mention pricing shenanigans, so you'll want to double-check your order. It's a classic grab-and-go breakfast spot for families and anyone craving a traditional bagel without pretension, though the cream cheese selection could use some love.”

Service was fine, bagel was OK for the price, cream cheese not as tasty as I'd hoped
Will constantly "mishear you" and add things to your order to mark it up. Onion and chive is listed as regular cream cheese, but instead he marks it up as flavored. If he took the ear piece out of his ear he might me able to hear better, very unprofessional to even have that ear piece on, it's not a hearing aid, it's a Bluetooth piece from what they used in 2007. I'll be going to Wawa from now on.
I run a summer camp in the area, and every week during the summer we order three dozen bagels for our staff so they have something to eat in the morning if they don’t have time or access to breakfast. Manhattan Bagel knows this—we’ve been doing it for many summers—yet every week they give us a hard time about the order. When they reluctantly sell to us, they give us only the worst bagels, clearly the ones that do not sell. The manager is consistently rude, and it’s clear they don’t value loyal, repeat customers. Other Manhattan bagels have been happy to accommodate this request. We will not be giving them any more business.
I have been coming here and Glenolden location for years. I did stop coming to Media for a couple years ago because of, I think he was the manager. He was rude and sweaty. I then started coming back because it seemed like it was under different management. I like Manhattan bagels, but they are getting smaller and smaller. They are now the size of a Dunkin’ donut! I came across a place called Custom Bagels several blocks away in Media. I was hoping for a larger bagel, but was disappointed there as well. I do like the flavor of their bagels too though. I was up in North Jersey working and stopped at a bagel shop and you’ll see my photos. The comparison is outrageous and unacceptable. The cost is about the same. I think we are paying a little bit more actually. Why can’t the shops around us show some decency and give us a bagel that’s acceptable in size?? Oh, and by the way, the reason I went searching for another bagel shop was because when I came to Manhattan during the second week of November ‘24, I took home nine bagels and half of them were clearly from the day before!! I’m done with Manhattan. At least at the Media location.
Great folks I’m glad the owner has more helping hands to assist serving customers. Great food, always enjoys my favorite raisin bagels 🥯toasted with butter & Honey🍯 Almond cream cheese. You can purchase a container of the cream cheese as well👍🏽
