Crema's Take
“Caribbrew transports you straight to the Caribbean with its veranda-inspired decor and thoughtfully crafted drinks like their signature Kremas Hot Chocolate, all while the owner personally guides you toward standout picks like their bold Americano. Beyond the coffee, their flaky veggie patties and fresh, well-seasoned food reveal a kitchen that clearly takes pride in authentic flavors, making it the kind of place where you naturally slow down to linger with friends or settle in with your laptop for hours.”

My friend and I spent our afternoon chatting at Caribbrew. I loved the atmosphere from the time I walked in. The decor felt like I was back in the Caribbean, sitting on a veranda. The Kremas Hot Chocolate and cod fish patties were delicious. The owner was lovely, kind, and welcoming. She also had a great playlist going, which we enjoyed. Can’t wait to visit for many more days to come.
The food and coffee quality were excellent! The veggie patties (not pictured) were savory in a perfect flaky, buttery pastry. The Americano was good and strong, and was a suggestion from the owner, who was gracious and kind. It’s a small business, so be patient—it was worth the wait.
Absolutely loved this spot. The food was incredible authentic, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned, the kind of meal that makes you slow down and really enjoy each bite. The coffee was just as impressive: rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced, easily some of the best I’ve had at a café. The vibe really sets this place apart. It has a warm, welcoming café atmosphere that makes you want to sit, relax, and stay a while great music, great energy, and a genuine neighborhood feel. Whether you’re coming for a full meal or just coffee, this is a place I’d 100% recommend and will definitely be returning to.
Here’s your review: ⸻ I had such a peaceful and productive time working at Caribbrew in Newark, NJ. The atmosphere was calm and inviting—perfect for focusing and getting things done. I started my day with their House Mocha, which gave me the perfect boost to dive into my work. For lunch, I ordered the Cajun Egg Turkey Sausage sandwich, and wow… it was amazing! So flavorful and satisfying. The hospitality and service were top-notch, and I even ran into the pleasant surprise of finding out that many people I know also frequent this spot. It’s clear this place has a strong community feel. Overall, an incredible experience—highly recommend!
The coffee was great! Pricey but good. Small but good. They need to post a price list. The lemon rum cake had good flavor but was very dense. I also had the patties and I hate to say but they were not very good. Stick with the coffee!
