I am in Springfield near the Cafe once a year, for the past 4 years and this is a must stop for me for breakfast. Without fail, anything I've ever ordered from their menu has been excellent. The staff is always very attentive. I'm not sure if the young lady behind the counter is the owner or not, but she is friendly and respectful and really appreciates her customers. And whoever the cook is, a big thanks to them for always delivering a great breakfast.
while they were understaffed and food was taking a while to get out, the waitress was friendly and kept checking in on everyone. the food was worth the wait. good location for grabbing lunch while site seeing
The girl (Maria) running the place was so sweet and helpful, and this is not commentary on her. It seemed like she had a lot to keep up with on her own and still managed to keep everything going successfully. The restaurant itself had dirty walls, there was hair in one of our sandwiches, the cups and silverware are all disposable, loud tv on the wall, and run down decor… I could go on. I never use reviews to complain - and don’t want to kick a struggling place while it’s down either. But felt I needed to share because the reviews seemed very, erroneously high. Depending on what you are looking for it may be great, but wasn’t for us.
I was happy to find this little place. I am happy to be working nearby (for another week). The service was very quick and friendly. Food was exactly what I was searching for. I found an available seat without waiting at lunch time. I had the Pony shoe. I will be back. Great work ladies!
The food was so tasty. The only reason I didnt give a 5 is because the burger was to come with romaine lettuce and tomato slices and the Monty Cristo was to have strawberry jelly but came with grape. The service was good but they didn’t come back to check on us after giving us our food so we couldn’t correct the errors. HOWEVER; with that being said the flavors were definitely there, the food was hot and fresh. We will definitely go back
