Crema's Take

Tucked off Abercorn Street in Savannah's Historic District, this beloved independent café has earned a devoted following for its warm, genuinely homey atmosphere where locals gather like old friends and visitors instantly feel welcomed. Beyond the consistently excellent breakfast and notably good coffee, it's the combination of friendly, attentive staff and that rare sense of community—where regularity matters and people actually connect—that keeps folks coming back despite occasional waits.

Great place for breakfast in historic area of Savannah. Food was great! Staff very friendly. This was recommended by a friend and worth the visit. We had read that there can be a wait. Fortunately, we showed up at the right time and were seated.

After eating breakfast twice at the hotel that we were staying at in Savannah’s Historic District, we decided to eat somewhere else. We chose Clary’s Cafe off of Abercorn Street, and I’m telling you that it was a great choice. My wife had the fluffy pancakes with bacon and seasoned home fries. I had the Crab Cakes Eggs Benedict, and grits. I always like to order a dish that is not readily available where we live just to taste the culture of the area. To make a long story short, we enjoyed every aspect of our visit and would recommend that you stop by and patronize them the next time you’re in Savannah.

This wasn't my first visit. But it was the worse visit. No wait to be seated. Almost immediately we were waiting on. Told the waitress our drink order which came out promptly. She came back a few minutes later took our order. So far, everything is going well. Food comes out, looks good smells good. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, the other was The Victorian(sausage and gravy). We started to eat and noticed both meals the taste was off. Not the great taste and flavor that we've enjoyed in the past. The holendaise sauce was not made properly and the eggs texture and taste was off. The Victorian lacked flavor and was watery. The waitress never came back over to see how our meal was. We were both shocked as to how bad the food quality and service was. Yes,we did finish our meals,I'm not one for wasting food. Our past visits have always been enjoyable...Very Disappointed.

Great location; chatgpt recommended this location. The food was really good. The coffee was real good too. I had the crab cake egg Benedict and it was very tasty. I didnt give it 5 stars because the English muffin was a bit too hard. The flavor was there though. The grits had a really good taste. The staff is really friendly.

Service Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere Definitely a local spot. People know each other and chat about life making it very welcoming, hommie, relaxing. Food Wow! It was delicious! We got the Crab Cake Benedicts. I added some spinach to mine and it was definitely the best choice I could've made. The potatoes were crispy and seasoned to perfection 👌🏼 👍🏼 🙌🏼 So Good!
