Crema's Take
“Tucked just outside Anchorage, this beloved spot combines exceptional coffee crafted with real care and creative Alaskan touches like house-made birch syrup with an equally impressive kitchen turning out standout focaccia and inventive breakfast sandwiches. The cozy atmosphere welcomes everyone from families to road-trippers, with flexible seating options including a drive-thru, and reviewers consistently rave about how everything tastes like it's made with genuine love. As someone who has to make the drive to/from Homer every 3 weeks, I am always so happy to catch this place when they are open. The food and drinks are made with love. I am obsessed with how they make their amazing Turmeric lattes, which was the first time Ive had one that didn’t have that unpleasant grit that usually comes with them (iykyk)
Very cozy atmosphere. I love the choices of syrups for coffee and tea. Their Birch syrup was so good. Also a great variety of breakfast and pastries. Our favorites were the Irish cheddar, leek and prosciutto scone and their blueberry muffin. The Bagel Experience was incredibly tasty as well.
Awesome spot! Everything we had was delicious. The focaccia was incredible! Nicely located just outside of anchorage. They have a drive thru, indoor seating, and outdoor seating.
What a find, conveniently located 20 minutes from Anchorage, this "hole in the wall" hits ALL the spots!! The food was outstanding -- I enjoyed the lox bagel while the wife had the focaccia. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and as advertised. Other than being right on the highway, the setting is gorgeous with views of the inlet and snow-capped mountains as we sat on the deck enjoying our breakfast. Needless to say, if we pass back this way before lunch we're stopping again and I'm pumped to try the smoked cod bagel!
This is my favorite breakfast and coffee spot when heading south out of Anchorage on the weekends! Their coffee is great, and they offer unique, natural syrups/flavors. The Bagel Experience is my go-to meal item. They also have delicious scones, with some really unique seasonal options. The views cannot be beat, but sometimes the indoor space is crowded. I love that they have indoor/outdoor seating and a drive thru.
