Crema's Take

Schultz Sweets is a charming family-owned café on Kalamazoo's west side where excellent coffee pairs beautifully with their standout homemade confections—think creamy caramel lattes alongside their legendary caramels, peanut butter cups, and truffles. The welcoming, spotless space strikes that perfect balance between a serious coffee destination and a cozy sweet shop, making it equally suited for a working afternoon, a leisurely lunch, or meeting friends over indulgent treats. Don't sleep on their food menu either; the salads and brownie sundaes are solid, and the genuinely kind staff will make you feel like part of the family from the moment you walk in.

Great coffee shop on the west side of Kalamazoo! I strongly recommend the caramel latte and a bag of caramels, they are delicious!!! I am a sucker for a good old-fashioned caramel but they offer many flavors for the adventurous. They offer a breakfast and lunch menu that includes both sandwiches and salads. My son ordered the breakfast burrito and it was excellent and did I mention reasonable prices! Yes, very reasonable, $7.99 for the burrito that includes a meat in addition to eggs and cheese. They serve Mooville ice cream, and I can’t wait to try their caramel malt with their homemade caramel sauce! It’s a cozy place to sit, so my younger son and I often come here to complete his school work while firing up the laptop. I appreciate they are here, and they are my preferred over other businesses close by such as Biggby’s, Starbucks, and even over Anne’s!

We stopped by Schultz's for coffee, but saw the food menu and decided on lunch also. We ordered the chef's salad & Greek salad. They took quite a while to arrive, but were both quite good! Before leaving, we also picked up three bars of fudge, intending to give them as gifts. I'm glad that we decided to try the fudge bars before giving them to others because they were all nearly rock-hard, and also too sugary-sweet. Sorry, but the fudge was just not good. I know this is a recently established business, and I wish Schultz's the best of luck. Total experience = 4 stars

Such a cute little hidden gem and if you like chocolate this is the place to be. They're peanut. Butter cups are amazing and their truffles are nothing to be truffled with LOL and the staff nicest cashier I've ever met. Very family friendly and next girls day out. This is where we'll be.

Found this little cafe when I was hungry and looking for a place to work. 100/10 recommended. The sweetest owner and employees, overall vibe was great and very clean space. Amazing food and treats. Smooth cup of coffee! Will be back soon to try even more! Must try in Kalamazoo!
