Crema's Take
“This woman-owned gem brings authentic Peruvian coffee culture to Bay Park, sourcing beans exclusively from female-owned farms in Peru and roasting them locally—a meaningful choice that actually translates into excellent espresso and creative specialty drinks like their surprisingly balanced lucuma latte. The small, unpretentious space draws Seattle-level coffee snobs and casual walkers alike, all united by respect for what goes into every cup.”

Finished a long walk in Mission Bay and wanted to pick up coffee on the way back. Being from Seattle I am picky about coffee and so when I found Inka’fe and read the reviews I thought I would check it out. Feels like a little hole in the wall but the space was clean and decorated. The ladies making the coffee were friendly. I got the Peruvian Lacuna iced coffee, I tried it on my way out the door thinking I would share with my hubby, but it was so delicious and not as sweet as I thought (thank you reviewer!) I knew the hubby needed his own!! 🤣 This place is unique, unlike anything like it, woman-owned and the coffee is great! When in San Diego this is a must stop!
Good coffee actually -- I was surprised getting the lucuma latte how decent it was (recipe sounded too sweet). Small place with low selection for breakfast pastries but not bad if you live around here.
Peruvian woman-owned coffeeshop with locally roasted Peruvian coffee beans that were previously found at farmer’s markets is now here in bay park! It’s difficult to find a good dirty chai, but it’s consistently top tier here as well as all the other drinks I’ve had, they make a great banana latte and I tried some of my friends lacuma latte and it was delicious without being too sweet! Their food and sweets are spot on, everyone who works here is friendly, and you can always find a table to sit and study at or meet with someone.
Would have given this spot a 5 stars for just the coffee but I unfortunately got an empanada from them and it was just bad. Couldn’t even eat it because it was soppy and fell apart immediately, I had to pick at the ground beef with my hands lmao. Pretty sure it was just microwaved with how soft it was, or it was heated from frozen? Idk. Cappuccino was good though. 5⭐️ coffee 2⭐️ empanada
Inka'fe is a woman-owned small business that sources all the coffee beans from female-owned coffee growing farms in Perú. That is enough incentive to give them our business! We came looking for their famous Lucuma iced coffee that we saw them post on Instagram (@inkafesd). It was so amazing. Real high quality espresso used. We also got the Alfajores that are made by La Cucina di Silvana (Silvana Pastry Chef, also known for The Peruvian Spot San Diego. Great Peruvian restaurant). These Alfajores are always delicious and generous with the dulce de leche. The service at Inka'fe was really friendly and gracious. Bonus for being a dog friendly locale.
