Crema's Take
“Nestled in Garden City, this café has earned a loyal following for its exceptional breakfast and pastries, with standout items like lemon ricotta pancakes that keep people coming back. Beyond the food, what truly sets it apart is the attentive staff who go the extra mile—whether that's immediately welcoming you at the door or carefully accommodating dietary restrictions with genuine care. It's the kind of place where the warm service and thoughtfully executed traditional drinks and food create an experience that feels both trendy and genuinely family-friendly.”

I went here this morning with a friend and let me tell you it was literally the best breakfast I have ever had. The food was so good! I got the lemon ricotta pancakes and my friend got the breakfast bowl with pulled pork. They were both amazing! The pancake were fluffy and light and the bowl tasted so good. The servers were all super friendly and helpful with giving recommendations on what to try. The owner was helping everyone out to ensure great service and was super nice. He let us know that they are adding more to the drink menu and let us try one that is soon to be added to the menu. I also got the lavender matcha and honestly it was the best matcha I’ve ever had! I would highly recommend coming to this place and I plan on going back to try their lunch. My friend really enjoyed the pictures of all the dogs on the walls. Also this place is named after the owners dogs, which is very cute! The parking lot is a bit small though so you might have to look for parking on the street but trust me it is very worth it!
Heard of Max & Louie’s through social media & DO NOT regret coming to try! The staff is amazing, we were greeted & sat immediately upon entering. The gentleman who sat us advertised their delicious special beverages that come in a transparent canned containers. I myself ordered the Strawberry Matcha, and my boyfriend ordered the Orange Coffee (both were delicious. We both ordered the breakfast burrito to eat, it was brought out by one of the chefs who also checked in on us to make sure we were enjoying. Amanda our server was great, and so friendly throughout the entire service. Overall the food, beverages, & service were all amazing and we most definitely will be back! I absolutely recommend coming by to try.
What a neat place! The food was 10/10 and the service was even better. My little brother had celiac disease and they went above and beyond to make sure that gloves were changed and all food was safe.
Was so excited to try this trending new place, especially the cute canned drinks. The Orange Pop Coffee (?) was delicious. Unfortunately that's were the taste ended for our party. The hollandaise lacked flavor and was the consistency of whipped heavy cream almost. The bechamel sauce tasted too much like Dijon and nothing else. Not be be not picky but there was no regular ketchup 🤣 and the seasoned potatoes were like the kind you get at the continental breakfast at a 3-Star hotel. I will say I really liked the Buddies Sandwich and the ricotta pancakes were devine. Everything else fell pretty short, portions didn't align and the price point seemed really high. I don't know that we'll be back or recommend even though we were so excited to try!
As a first-time visitor to Wepa Café, I was genuinely impressed by how unique and inviting the whole experience was. Tucked away in Garden City, this place instantly stands out — from the colorful decor to the vibrant Puerto Rican music playing in the background, everything felt warm and full of energy. The service was truly fantastic. Everyone I interacted with was welcoming, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. They took time to explain the menu, which I really appreciated as someone trying Puerto Rican cuisine for the first time. I ordered a couple of their signature dishes, and while the flavors were bold and comforting, I did find that the food was just a little bit overdone in places. Not enough to ruin the meal, but it was noticeable. Still, the overall taste and portion sizes made up for it. The rooftop patio was a great bonus — relaxed and perfect for soaking up the sunshine. I also love that they give back through hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico; it made the experience feel even more meaningful. All in all, Wepa Café gave me a memorable first impression. I’d definitely go back — this place has heart.
