Onyx Coffee Lab - Fayetteville Square

Came in multiple times and usually had a long wait time. One thing I noticed when waiting on my cinnamon bun order was that she made it (at the time I didn't know it was mine) and set them to the side because they called the names. The cinnamon roll sat there for 10 minutes while she made others and sat them around. She then pulled the stickers off and started naming names to get them. All of them got mixed up and was a frenzy. The place is already set up for not a lot of people and it wasn't efficient how they did it. I could've had my food 10 min ago and been out the door. I had the cinnamon bun before while fresh and was delicious but it was cold by the time I got it. Unfortunate. (UPDATE) feb 2026. They are the best coffee shop in fayetteville. Super nice and super quick.

Ordered the Salt Mocha, it was delicious! Probably one of my favorite mochas that I have had, it was sweet and salty! The place itself doesn’t have much seating though.

Outstanding coffee! However, incredibly disappointed with the breakfast sandwich. For the price, I hoped to get a solid serving of egg protein. Instead, got mostly bread and tiny bit of egg. Will never order that again!

​Onyx on the Fayetteville Square is a brilliant spot for anyone needing a quick coffee fix. While it's not the best for sitting and lingering, it's absolutely perfect for a quick walk-up and walk-out experience. The modern atmosphere, with its bright natural light, makes it a super inviting place to pop into. The coffee quality is amazing—my Iced Americano was perfectly made, and I was impressed by their wide selection of boxed coffees, like the Tropical Weather instant coffee I took home. The staff is always friendly and efficient, and I love the honor system for their drip coffee. Being connected to a cool store is a fantastic bonus, making it the ideal spot for a quick and satisfying stop on the square.

Onyx is on the Square in Fayetteville and open late! This is such a good spot for coffee and cold brew, and with their seasonal menus that change 5 times a year, there is always something new and unique that is delectable! We had a mocha and a Frosted Nitro Palmer, which was uniquely delicious. Because my wife has a dairy allergy, she normally cannot have something with ice cream, but this has oat milk ice cream, so she can have it. Good job, Onyx, you are literally the best coffee shop anywhere!
