Crema's Take
“This charming downtown Tampa spot blends a thoughtful café with a full marketplace, earning consistent praise for its made-to-order breakfast and customizable sandwiches alongside a impressive pastry case and hot bar. Visitors love the nostalgic "old world prices," friendly service, and the way eggs are cooked fresh in front of you, creating a slow-paced gathering space that feels equally welcoming for a solo coffee ritual or lingering with family and friends. The seamless pairing of quality traditional drinks with standout food—from Korean meatballs to creative cakes—makes it the kind of neighborhood gem that has out-of-towners planning their mornings around it.”

When you live in New York, you know good food. Dolce cafe in downtown Tampa knows a thing or two or three. Had breakfast two mornings so far on a 11 day stay in this city and this is my breakfast spot. The amazing flavor and presentation of the food is equally matched to the pleasant atmosphere and service. Owner Robert has a gem of a cafe. Stop by for breakfast or lunch. Try the oxtails. Trust me….you will be back.
After dropping my parents at Tampa Airport, I decided to stop for coffee at Dolce Cafe + Marketplace. Since it was a Sunday morning, I was able to find roadside parking near the cafe easily. As I entered, I was greeted by the server with a warm smile, and I immediately loved the ambiance of the cafe. The cafe offers a wide variety of menu options, including breakfast and lunch items along with a range of coffee choices. From the menu, I decided to order the "Hammy-Bring My Game" and a medium iced latte. The hammy was tasty, delicious, hot, and crunchy--a perfect breakfast choice. The iced latte, with less sugar, complemented the breakfast perfectly. I thoroughly enjoyed my coffee and breakfast at Dolce Cafe + Marketplace. It was the perfect stop to start my day.
Cool coffee and breakfast spot with a lot to offer. Nice hot bar for making fresh bowls. They make you sandwiches however you like it. Add anything, remove anything, or just order as is. It was a little pricey for a breakfast sandwich and coffee but they staff was nice. Did not have the muffins but they looked good.
Nicely decorated, eggs cooked in front of you custom style, very friendly and pleasing service. And old world prices. Big selection of pastries and drinks for a small shop. Needs some practice on coffee making but made right after a few tries.
The food was great! There were so many selections of great snacks to be had. I had Korean Meatballs and they were so tasty! We also had a muffin and Mississsippi Mud Pie (cake?) But more than the great food was the amazing service. Once they found out we were visiting Tampa they gave us restaurant recommendations, a map of the river walk and lots of tips about the city. They were so nice and friendly. Definitely recommend this spot!
