Crema's Take
“Tucked inside the Roman Russian Market, Rough Russian Cafe serves up authentic Turkish coffee in traditional individual pots alongside Eastern European breakfast classics like potato pierogies and crepes, all presented with genuine care and attention to detail. The unhurried, family-friendly atmosphere invites you to linger over a leisurely meal or specialty tea service—think black tea arriving on a platter with honey and lemon—making it as much about the experience as the exceptional food. Whether you're stopping by for a quick coffee or settling in to meet a friend, this intimate spot celebrates real, unrushed hospitality with each visit.”

This place is really fun to visit and they have delicious food and drinks. The service was amazing as well. It's a great place for a quick coffee, or for breakfast, or meeting up with someone to chat. The connected market is amazing as well and I recommend perusing. I'm the market there is a deli with even more good options that you can get for there or to go. Although I highly recommend the crepes.
Always authentic experience for coffee shop. One of my favorite places for real Turkish coffee service: in a special individual pot and with a glass of water and with sweet treat! Love every moment here
A small Cafe tucked into a market. The foods are a bit different than expected. The tea presentation was wonderful. I ordered black tea and it was served on a platter with honey and lemon. My partner got the strawberry mint lemonade. The food was not what Ianticipated. I ordered the mushroom crepe. It was made with canned mushrooms and had corn and an odd sweet sauce that tasted like it had sweet pickles, not to my liking. I asked if it was vegetarian and was told yes, but I had a reaction after I ate some that tells me there was some kind of meat or broth or cross contamination. My partner ordered the chicken dumplings. He said they were good but they were just boiled and served plain, with some sour cream on the side. We tried one piece of the chocolate cake and it had good flavor but was a bit hard on top and difficult to cut into. Some of this is just my unfamilarity with Russian food and some food allergies that made it difficult to know what to order. You order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. There are a few tables inside and a couple outside but under cover
So much is packed in this market - such good options and fun finds. We had breakfast at the cafe and it was delicious. Brother had the shawarma, husband had the potato pierogies, and I had the mushroom crepe. Everything was so clean and delicious. Turkish coffees too!
A coffee shop inside the Roman Russian Market. The ambience is relaxed. Service is good. I had a beef sausage and vegetable crepe and sea buckthorn tea and passed (with regret) on a pistachio eclair. The crepe was made to order. Prices are in line with the high quality of the offerings.
