Crema's Take

Perched right on the beach in Encinitas, Seven Seas draws cyclists and seaside wanderers who linger over thoughtfully crafted drinks like their beloved Lavender Honey Latte alongside creative toast plates featuring combinations like balsamic prosciutto and avocado. The espresso-focused roastery shines with both traditional and signature creative drinks, complemented by quality pastries and light food, making it less of a grab-and-go spot and more of a place to settle in with a book and watch the ocean.

Delicious coffee. I had the Lavender Honey Latte and the Salmon Avocado toast. What a delight to my taste buds. Park in front of the hotel for free.

Encinitas has a little gem of a coffee shop, Seven Seas Roasting. The weather was perfect for a bike ride and a coffee. Not only did we enjoy a seaside bike ride, but we also enjoyed a book and coffee on the patio. I ordered a latte, and my asked for a decaf latte. These were easy to sip while reading a book. The down side, the patio view is of a small traffic circle. This shop appears dog friendly. If you are looking for coffee destination, then consider Seven Seas Roasting.

Excellent lavender honey latte and avocado toast. The balsamic and prosciutto on the toast was a delicious combination. Located in a new hotel, right on the beach.

I am local and have been going to the Coffee Box since it first opened about 5 years ago. The location close to Ponto Beach is great for cyclists and walkers to stop by for a takeout coffee or to sit down for a quick bite. New potential customers should be aware that the business now has new ownership - Seven Seas Roasting - and is no longer run by the hotel. Many of the older pictures show menus and food options that are not reflective of present options. Look for the newer pictures of menus. I have not tried any of the food on the new menu but the coffee is still excellent. The new menu has more extensive food options but pastry offerings in the display appear more limited. Sadly, longtime employees, including the famous Sylvi, will be leaving due to pay cuts under the new ownership. We will see how that affects service in the future. The locals discount is also no longer available.

I would go back! Excellent coffe! I had a character, mushroom coffee, and croissant. The pastries look good, but I could only eat one... today. No parking close. Best if you are staying at the resort.
