Crema's Take

This North Park institution has earned its stellar reputation as a reliable breakfast and brunch destination where homemade food and thoughtful details (like actually good water) set it apart from the typical cafe crowd. The outdoor seating creates a genuinely inviting space for lingering over coffee and conversation, and while the kitchen occasionally swings and misses on items like overly sweet sausage, their standout dishes like steak and eggs and perfectly seasoned potatoes keep people coming back. It's the kind of place where you can settle in with a rich cappuccino without pressure, making it equally suited for a solo coffee session or a family gathering.

I’m sure it has already been said in all the other reviews, but I will add my 2 cents. So good. We are lucky to be retired so we can come during the week with no lines. Terrific homemade food with great taste. Very friendly staff. Shout out to Jessica C. I had the Veggie Omelette and my Wife had the Mission Rosemary. Love the rosemary potatoes and everything else too.

Great breakfast spot. The meals were really good, and I appreciated that they have good water too, that actually matters. Solid experience overall. Tried: steak and eggs. Steak was seasoned just right. Potatoes were nice and crispy. Sweet corn chile tamale, eggs over medium, potatoes and a side of Portuguese sausage.

The food was good, the potatoes were amazing, I really did not like the sausage, it was so so so sweet we were shocked. It actually did not taste like meat at all. That kind of taste tasted like candy. I can’t explain it. I did not like it. The eggs were some of the best eggs I’ve eaten. I love their bread too. I would come again and try other things on the menu too.

I don’t know if they can’t smell it or it’s just my sensitivity. The inside smelled like old people diapers or sewage. We ended up sitting outside. Other than that, the service was amazing and so was the food. The pancakes were huge and fluffy. The steak breakfast was okay, was mostly a scramble more than actual steak and potatoes.

5 stars! An absolute gem for breakfast lovers who appreciate a Mexican twist! The food was outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The cappuccino was just perfect: rich, smooth, and served with care. The service was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive – you instantly feel at home. The vibe is relaxed and charming, making it the perfect spot to start your day. If you’re looking for a breakfast experience with a unique touch, this place is a must. I’ll definitely be coming back!
