Crema's Take
“Tucked in the San Jose mall, this gelato destination crafts small-batch Italian gelato daily with premium ingredients and traditional slow-churn methods, earning praise for impossibly rich, dense flavors like their celebrated cherry and super black chocolate varieties. Beyond classic gelato, they've mastered the viral appeal of specialty creations like Dubai strawberry cups while keeping things approachable with complimentary generous samples, waffle cones, and crepes—making it equally suited for a quick sweet escape, a casual meetup, or even a wedding celebration.”

La Dolce Vita Gelato was an absolute hit at our wedding. We were able to attend a complimentary tasting beforehand and sample a wide variety of their flavors, which made it an easy decision to include them in our celebration. Their gelato is the real deal – each bite feels like you’ve been transported to the streets of Italy. The cart itself was a charming and elegant addition to our wedding day, and the gelato was every bit as delicious as it was when we first tasted it in their store.
Offers a lot of different flavors. We typically get the waffle or crepe. Nice spot to stop by for a quick snack in the mall
La Dolce Vita Gelato delivers an exceptional gelato experience—made fresh daily using premium Italian ingredients and traditional slow-churn techniques that yield rich, densely flavorful scoops. I sampled a mix of classic and creative favorites like Salted Caramel, Mango, and Espresso —they all impressed with bold, authentic taste.
This place is a gem.. great Gelato and expreso. They also have the viral Dubai strawberry cups. My favorite is the cherry Gelato also you get fee waffle cones with the quarts. Prices are a little high, but this is a treat for yourself and loved ones. Must try.
The workers were generous with the ice cream samples. I tried the Super Black Chocolate and regular Chocolate, both were smooth and tasty. My sister tried the pistachio gelato, she said it was good but it felt like there was a sour after taste to it. I ordered the strawberry banana nutella crepe and added an extra scoop of chocolate gelato which is delicious. The crepe batter might have been a little bit thick so the crepe wasn't as light as some of the Japanese crepes places I've been to, but overall it was good, with plenty of bananas and strawberries. I will come back again when I crave some gelato. We wanted to try the waffle bites but they crossed it out from the menu. Not sure if they'll bring it back again. The location is right near the children's play area in the mall so there were a lot of screaming kids while we sat down to eat, so I'd recommend finding a spot a bit further away if you get crepes/waffles or just to-go it.
