Crema's Take
“Becharas Brothers Coffee has cultivated something special in Highland Park with their Royal York roast, a consistently smooth and memorable brew that people actively seek out and recreate at home. Their knowledgeable staff and focus on espresso and pour over methods create a welcoming space where even their medium roasts punch above their weight, earning the kind of loyalty that turns casual customers into passionate advocates. This is clearly a neighborhood gem with roots in Greektown's coffee culture, where the quality speaks loudly enough that first-time sippers immediately ask where the magic came from.”

My love for the Becharas Coffee started several mos. ago at a local restaurant in Clarkston (Mel’s). A kind waitress actually gave me a packet of their coffee, they serve the Royal York. Since then I bought directly from the Becharas family owned company in nearby Highland Park. I’ve also talked with them on the phone and have had out of the box customer service. Wonderful product ground fresh just prior to delivery. Would totally recommend this Michigan company for GREAT coffee and wonderful people.
Smoothest cup of coffee in their Royal York. I make it when we are camping and everyone says “WHERE did you get this coffee?”. it’s that good
A favorite coffee celebrated in Greektown. It's been awhile, but I remember that the Astoria Cafe sells Becharas Brothers Coffee for a dollar a serving. It's great coffee to enjoy with fine Greek baking!
If you're not getting your coffee from Becharas, you're doing it wrong. Every time I make someone a coffee, they take their first sip and immediately ask where the coffee is from. Definitely a game changer for anyone who home brews, has a coffee bar at the office or runs a restaurant.
Great, helpful staff. They do not have light roasted coffee, however, their medium roast beans are good, flavorful, and make great, tasty coffee. Excited to try single-origin coffee that they are coming up with soon. I did find some rock/stone material in the coffee which almost took my hand grinder out. Paul offered to exchange the packet promptly. Friendly, local roasters!
