Funk 'n Waffles
307-13 S Clinton St, Syracuse, NY
Crema's Take
“Funk 'n Waffles is a beloved Syracuse brunch spot that doubles as a casual live music venue, where the counter-service setup and seat-yourself charm create an unpretentious, communal vibe that keeps regulars coming back for consistent, craveable waffles and breakfast plates. While the coffee takes a supporting role to the standout food and atmosphere, it's the kind of place where you can linger over a cup while soaking in the friendly energy and perhaps catching a live Dead cover band on a Sunday morning.”
What to expect
Espresso-focused. A slow-sit, quick-grab spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast, pastries, and light food on the menu. Family friendly.

Most definitely a nice. Staff was really nice and really helpful. Now the food boyyyyyyyy the food was sooooooo good. I got the jive turkey waffle. So many different flavors of sweet and savory. They had a birthday party there that night with live music it was definitely a great…
I can’t really rate the service too much because I got an order to go, however I stumbled upon here on accident while exploring the area around my hotel. The flavours are amazing and on point! Provided I have more time next time, I’ll come back for the sit down experience.

Delicious and consistent. Fairly priced. I tend to order the same 2 things over and over again and they come out almost exactly the same everytime. The owner is often around and seems friendly enough.

This was an amazing Sunday brunch for us after a night out in Armory Square. The pitchers of mimosas were amazing and the waffles hit the spot. We could have gotten the halves and had plenty to eat.
