Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee
2173 Highland Ave Suite 1, Birmingham, AL
Crema's Take
“This sprawling southside spot brings an Asheville-meets-Birmingham vibe with genuinely solid espresso drinks—their cappuccinos with whole milk are a standout—plus creative options like pour overs if you want to linger. The space is generously wide open with plenty of seating, making it ideal for folks who want to camp out with a laptop or catch up with friends over pastries and carefully sourced coffee at reasonable prices. Fair warning: experiences here seem to vary depending on who's behind the bar, but when the barista team clicks, they make you feel genuinely welcome.”

First time trying this new location I am in love, their cappuccino with whole milk is fantastic. I was able to also try a ladybird taco which I have never had and it was absolutely delicious. They also have kombucha on tap and are pudding all kinds of new things in the restaurant this is gonna be a fantastic place in a sea of not so great coffee places.
The space is huge and wide open & there is plenty of seating…it would be a great place to get some work done! When my friend and I went, the barista was super friendly & service was fantastic! The coffee was good, not great but I love love that they serve it in a proper mug rather than to go cups only :).
Extremely rude manager and barista. Not friendly. The manager is a younger woman (compared to me, a kid) who has held up lines for extended periods, talking with prior-served customers as we wait, with no "off button" until another customer or barista sighs or redirects her back to serving customers. On another occasion, the baristas (a guy and a girl) was having a full conversation as she made my coffee, talking directly into and over my coffee and milk, with no concern for saliva or germs, just talking away, laughing, slowing the process, and all. They have no perception of people coming in to quickly get a coffee and leave. Although I live extremely close to the establishment, because of the management and staff, I instead travel 2-6 blocks to get my coffee, where my money and service are appreciated (and can get a bigger, tastier cup of goodness). I can not recommend! You will also see that they had a reviewer who has reviewed ONLY in Florida leave one after mine! I recommend Adam and Eve, which is close and a better option.
What a wonderful crew! The baristas are amazing and made me feel at home. Not sure how anyone could leave a bad review...seems to be more of a you thing than a them thing.
Land of a Thousand Hills coffee is a nice little addition to the neighborhood in southside! Coffee is solid and are on the cheaper side these days too. The vibes are very Asheville, NC in my opinion which is a good thing! I’d recommend it if you’re in the area.
