Crema's Take
“The Red Cat has earned its stellar reputation as a downtown Birmingham destination where creativity meets comfort, especially in their signature drinks like the Persian and Havana Brown that keep customers coming back for more. Their vanilla lattes achieve an almost impossible balance—silky smooth without the artificial taste that plagues so many coffee shops—while the thoughtful food program, from cheesy grits to ham and Swiss croissants, proves they take breakfast as seriously as their espresso. The combination of genuinely kind staff, chill vibes, and a welcoming ambiance makes this the kind of place where both coffee lovers and casual visitors feel equally at home.”

Been here many times, never got any food items. I am not sure how they make their vanilla latte, it's so smooth, does not taste like chemicals or too much vanilla. I always get vanilla latte at any coffee shop, and I have yet to try better one anywhere else. Service can be slow, but as anywhere else in the south:).
I ordered the iced Persian and it was so good that I had to go back for another one that, the second one I order was the Havana Brown but not as good as the first one. They are good coffee and great environment to hang out.
This is my favorite coffee shop to visit when I come downtown! Chill vibes, delicious coffee and kind staff.
Love the ambiance of this coffee shop. Came to try the food on our second visit. We ordered Breakfast Burrito and Breakfast Bowl (with grits 😋). The food was hot and fresh. Delicious cheesy grits with bacon and eggs on top. The burrito was spicy and very tasty. The coffee was good but the staff was stretched too thin. Barista didn't have enough mugs and was slamming the espresso machine around loudly. Took too long to get drinks Overall nice visit, but too many other places to visit if this isn't your local hang.
First time here and definitely not my last. The staff provided great recommendations and great service. I had the Ham and Swiss Croissant & the Caramel Apple Spice Latte. They were both delicious! There were several seasonal drinks on the menu and a variety of breakfast items as well. I love the atmosphere as well with all the windows for the natural light to shine in and also the option of outdoor seating. This coffee shop was quite busy, but I understand why. I am adding The Red Cat to my list of favorite coffee shops in Birmingham. Great place to work or meet up with a friend!
