Extremely disappointing food… the picture is of their $14 grilled cheese… looks like they tossed a half a Kraft single in between two pieces of white bread. We also ordered the prosciutto sandwich, which was cold… on purpose! Cold mushrooms on plain white bread… no thank you. They were out of avocado and macadamia nuts, so much of their menu was unavailable. Maybe we just had an unusual experience but… YIKES!
Absolutely loved Surf Camp Coffee Waimea! Such a cute, welcoming little coffee shop with a great vibe. The service was excellent—the barista was incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. I ordered the blueberry latte and it was so good, easily one of the best I’ve had. If you’re in Waimea and looking for great coffee and even better service, I’d definitely recommend stopping by.
What a gem. Beautifully curated goods for sale, nice little coffee shop in the back. Small family run place.
Honestly, I wouldn't bother getting coffee from any other place in Waimea. If you really LOVE espresso beverages, Surf Camp's got you! I ordered the Black Sesame Latte. One sip and there was no doubt that I was experiencing a truly exceptional beverage. The quality of the espresso and the execution of the drink were both premium. The flavor was bold yet smooth with zero bitterness or acidity. And the foam was so luxuriant, with a velvety-smooth consistency! I paired it with a soft chocolate chip cookie which was ooey-gooey perfection in taste and texture. The cafe is extremely clean, open, airy and brightly lit. There is ample seating both indoors and outdoors. The patio seating was shady and looked really inviting. Side note: I found the music playing during my visit godawful. (Probably because I am old and this business seems to be targeting youngsters.) Mature customers may want to get their order "to go."
Chill place for coffee, food and to hang. Definitely got more of a modern vibe than the rest of town, but it still rocks a laid-back attitude and atmosphere. I got the blueberry latte (best if only lightly mixed once you get it) and the prosciutto sandwich—both of which were really good. The staff is really friendly, and the lower half of the shop is clothing and merch. They got plenty of seating—with inside and outback.
