Stereoscope Coffee

100 Bayview Cir Suite 1200, Newport Beach, CA

Crema's Take

Stereoscope Coffee draws fans with its thoughtfully designed space and brighter, more acidic coffee profile that really shines in their single-origin pour overs—though consistency can be hit or miss. The matcha drinks are a standout (their Yorokobi iced matcha with honey and oatmilk is a regular favorite), and the staff genuinely care about getting your order right, even if the limited seating and parking validation restrictions can be a bit of a squeeze during busy hours.

If you want quality drinks come here! And the staff are all amazing! Great drinks + Great service! Can’t get any better than that! My go to drink is the Yorokobi iced matcha with honey and oatmilk! The best! Love the earthy nutty taste and it has a thick texture which I love! 10/10.

The pour over machine looked cool but the tast was not great. My pour over tasted like green onions. My friend's pour over tasted like watered down beans.

Coffee and matcha are great. It’s one of my favorites in town but sometimes the line can get long, and they only validate 2 hours of free parking.

The interior design, packaging, and overall atmosphere are lovely, though the seating is a bit limited. The coffee has a brighter, more acidic profile, so it may be especially enjoyable for those who like that style. The financier was alright.

Stereoscope Coffee is one of my favorite spots when I’m craving a true coffee experience. This time I tried the Peru light roast—light, bright, and beautifully layered with notes of tangerine, Sharon fruit, and Moya cream. Their flat whites and cortados are consistently top-tier, and on this visit, the barista was kind enough to create latte art and let me take a video of it—such a thoughtful touch that made my day. The vibe here is youthful and creative, with an industrial-chic interior, lots of natural light, and that playful wall of 3D glasses that always catches your eye. Seating options are both indoor and outdoor, giving you space to work, relax, or catch up with a friend. Stereoscope is for the coffee purists—they use a Strada machine and their baristas really know how to dial in the espresso. It always surprises me how many people opt for matcha here (which is good too!), but if you’re skipping the espresso drinks, you’re truly missing out. Pastries tend to sell out by early afternoon on weekends, so come early if you’re hoping to snag one. And while parking can be a bit of a dance, they do validate, which helps. All in all, this place is a gem for anyone who takes their coffee seriously.
