I had a weekend trip to Charleston. I have bought these teas at a local kitchen store downtown but was excited to go to the actual store of Oliver Pluff & Co. I was able to sample Countess Grey freshly steeped (very mild and tasty). I picked up a few good teas and a teapot to add to my collection. And the store clerk was super friendly.
My husband and I attended the Kintsugi workshop on Valentines Day weekend, and it was a great experience! The owners were lovely and gave us a lot of guidance throughout, in addition to excellent tea and snacks. I highly recommend a workshop at this cute store!
Stopped in right before a show at the Charleston Music Hall (literally next door) and was genuinely impressed by both the selection and the historical character of this shop. It’s the kind of place you don’t expect to find such depth and quality if you’re just popping in quickly but I ended up spending more time than planned because everything was so well curated. I picked up a stainless steel tea infuser pipe and a pretty serious lineup of teas: Jasmine, Earl Grey, Ginger Peach, Irish Breakfast, Darjeeling, Masala Chai, Peach Sun Tea, plus cacao cinnamon tea bags. Every tin was beautifully packaged and clearly labeled, and the variety alone was impressive from classic black teas to more unique blends. What really stood out, though, was the customer experience. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the products, happy to explain the differences between teas and make recommendations without any pressure. You can tell they care about both the history of tea and helping customers find something they’ll actually enjoy. If you’re heading to a show at the Music Hall or just walking around downtown, this is absolutely worth the stop. Great products, great people, and a shop that feels like part of Charleston’s character rather than just another retail spot. I’ll definitely be back
Absolutely loved this charming little tea shop — it’s hands-down the cutest spot in Charleston! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the owner is incredibly friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. I tried the green tea peach and it was both refreshing and delicious — the perfect balance of flavor without being too sweet. A must-visit if you’re in town and love a good cup of tea!
Ordered several items for a Christmas gift for my husband who is a tea lover and history buff. Very satisfied from both perspectives. Can’t wait to find them in shops in person on our next trip to Charleston. Until then, will happily order for delivery again!
