The Peace Offering... Coffee, Tea and Pastries
100 North Romney St, Charleston, SC
Crema's Take
“Tucked into a Charleston neighborhood, this espresso-focused spot nails the art of the slow coffee experience with genuinely knowledgeable staff who'll chat you through their freshly roasted beans and seasonal creations. Beyond the exceptional pour overs and specialty drinks that aren't cloyingly sweet, they've earned serious devotion for their housemade pastries—particularly their focaccia—and thoughtful options like gluten-free breakfast and matcha tea that make it feel like a place built for lingering, not rushing through.”

Love Prophet Coffee! I was visiting back home a couple of months ago and I walked to the shop and their staff were so welcoming. Chatted a bit about the brownie beans they were selling and it tasted great. I also purchasess a cortado and I really haven’t had a better tasting cortado since. I also love how they have the coffee truck inside the store which they also make drinks from. Oh and they had this food offering that was similar to cornbread but much more tastier. This place is just overall great and friendly. Very welcoming to everyone. Can’t wait to visit again!
We love coming here any time we’re in town! Consistently good coffee, matcha and gluten free breakfast options. I send all my friends here when they’re in town!
Ordered seasonal "Christmas card" hit coffee. It was delicious!! The staff was informative, experienced, and pleasant! Ariana Grande was playing while we were there. Vibe was awesome. Decorated for holiday. Nightmare before Christmas on the TV. Tree had coffee cup ornaments 🥲 it was a joy. I will be returning. Barista allowed me to record her.
Best coffee in CHS. Their beans are freshly roasted, very fresh, and perfect medium blend. Drinks aren’t too sweet either, just slightly to get all flavors across. Focaccia bread may be top 3 I’ve ever had with good crispy outside but perfectly doughy soft and moist inside. Great herby flavors. So much seating, and fast service !!
Walkable distance from our Airbnb and highly rated on Apple Maps. We got the apple Cinnamon Foccacia and a seasonal drink(s) Ghourd something- my friend got the original and because I can't get the same thing as others I got the matcha version. I really liked it. Everything is plant based so oat milk is their base but they also offer almond milk. I'm more of a savory person, but the focaccia was interesting (in a good way). Cute retro vibes in the shop, and it got kind of full- not a whole lot of seating. It seems like a popular place enjoyed by locals
