Bowerbird Coffee

378 Walnut St, Fort Collins, CO

Crema's Take

Tucked between two beloved Fort Collins spots, Bowerbird is a bright, window-lined counter where specialty drinks like the Maple Cinnamon Latte shine alongside a thoughtfully curated light menu. The space strikes a rare balance—energetic enough for a quick morning grab with its convenient walk-up window, yet comfortable enough to settle in with your laptop and linger, thanks to warm lighting and genuinely friendly service. Fair warning if you prefer mellower coffees: their beans lean acidic and bold, so it's best suited for those who appreciate a more assertive cup.

I did takeout here one morning while I was staying at the attached hotel. The iced coffee wasn’t that good tbh and I don’t have a refined coffee palette. The coconut chia pudding parfait was really really good though. 10/10 food. I hate yogurt so I was so surprised to find this. I needed some healthy food after my conference all week. It was quick for takeout so I do recommend this place.

I acknowledge that coffee is an acquired and nuanced taste so proceed as you see fit. This coffee is very acidic and I did not find it drinkable. Though, the people and the space are lovely.

This place is one of my favorite places to get a warm beverage and do some work in town. I love the atmosphere and it is very comfortable with nice lighting. But as someone who doesn’t drink coffee and just wants a warm tea, I was a bit alarmed today when I was charged about $6.50 for one 12oz mug of tea with a splash of oat milk. I always tip my baristas well, so I ended up paying $7.50 for a cup of tea. This is simply too much for a cup of Happy Lucky’s Tea, which I could get a whole pot of tea down the street directly from them for half the price.. Please consider adjusting this exorbitant cost to something atleast under $5. It’s just some hot water and bulk tea, my friends.

This is a fantastic spot! It's essentially a coffee and light breakfast quick service counter in between Emporium Kitchen and Magic Rat. There's seating at a bar lining windows looking out onto the street and a couple tables. There doesn't appear to be power outlets, so probably not an ideal place to sit and work, but very relaxing spot to just chill and enjoy some really fantastic coffee and pastries, etc. Quickly has become a favorite spot to visit on a Sunday morning in Old Town.

Really enjoyed my beautiful Maple Cinnamon Latte! Delicious coffee and very friendly service. The outdoor walk-up window was also convenient. Will definitely be back to try more!
