Crema's Take

Nestled in Vail, The Frothy Cup is a beloved local institution where ski day pit stops and mountain adventures converge over expertly crafted espresso drinks and their legendary house-made whipped cream. The charm lies in its vintage living room atmosphere—complete with upholstered seats and grandmother's kitchen tables—paired with genuinely excellent seasonal specialties, fresh bagels, and cookies that inspire the kind of loyalty that keeps regulars coming back for years. It's the kind of place where you can linger over a perfectly pulled pour over or settle in with a family-friendly vibe that feels distinctly Colorado.

We recently came across The Frothy Cup after a couple of repeat visits to nearby Black Hawk. We were honestly getting a bit tired of the usual Starbucks options inside the casinos, so we went looking for a local neighborhood spot instead. While we weren't able to find anything worth writing home about right in Black Hawk, we stumbled across this location and were really impressed. The level of service was great, they have a solid variety of coffee options, and even the bakery items available were a nice surprise. Definitely a refreshing change of pace!

Absolutely loved their iced Cafe latte & hot Mocha coffee. Bagels were fresh. We ordered Parmesan bagel with cream spread as well which was 5/5. Their house made Whipped cream is absolutely delicious.

This place is a local institution! We've been coming to The Frothy Cup for years after adventures in the mountains when headed back down to the front range. It never disappoints. Wonderful seasonal drinks that are simply soul-nourishing! A quick note for my fellow vegans: they have plant milks but no vegan food options (yet).

Very cool shop, with tasty coffee, bagels and pastries (and probably something else I didn't notice). Lots of choices, including some seasonal, lots of people, but a cool vibe and, again, tasted so good! Also shout out to the lady in the Steelers shirt!
