Bichota Coffee
3740 Chicago Ave, Minneapolis, MN
Crema's Take
“Bichota is a vibrant, community-centered roastery in the heart of South Minneapolis where excellent espresso and creative house signatures like the "Mezcla Gufear" draw devoted fans (many who subscribe for home delivery). The space itself is a destination—bright, welcoming, and meaningfully located at George Floyd Square—with a team that brings genuine warmth and curated music to every visit, making it as much about connection as it is about the coffee in your cup.”

Hands down the best roaster in the Twin Cities. I also subscribe to get my coffee at home because the "Mezcla Gufear" is one of the best coffees I've ever had! I also recently tried the "Lo Frio" on my home espresso machine and it is my new favorite. I love that you can choose a featured single origin for espresso and they don't charge extra for oat milk?!!!!! They also have such a unique seasonal specialty menu, you have to keep coming back to try them all. Love this shop! The owner and the baristas are amazing.
I used to enjoy this space and the coffee is great. I visited this week and there was a large perfume candle burning that was inescapable anywhere you sat. I had already ordered my coffee to stay but left with a horrible migraine the rest of the day. Keeping spaces fragrance free is an accessibility issue for those of us with chemical sensitivities and anyone with asthma, breathing issues, migraines. Leaving a one star review as I really hope you take this into consideration. I would love to know that I can come back and visit the shop.
New to me, a hangout spot in the center of south Minneapolis. It's a place worth the trip with great team offering some unique beverages. Plenty of seating and a monumental location at George Floyd Square across from Chicago Avenue Fire Arts.
$4.36 for a 10oz cup of a bright citrusy Honduran drip that was decidedly unremarkable and lukewarm and not so fresh tasting. Excellent space and light and vibe. Friendly staff. This place was very empty late on an August Saturday morning after a rainstorm.
Cute shop, friendly service, excellent vibes, amazing drinks, and a great location! Love to see a community-orientated Latine-owned coffee shop in George Floyd Square! They were playing such good music, selling bags of coffee beans and Conchas (Mexican sweet bread), selling local ceramics, and making delicious drinks. We ordered a matcha and flat white. The glasses were charming, and the flavors were great. Lots of seating and we enjoyed sitting in a booth and relaxing while we sipped our drinks. Will definitely be back and will tell all of our friends about it!
