16 Tons Cafe
2864 Willamette St, Eugene, OR
Crema's Take
“16 Tons is a welcoming south-side Eugene spot where you can linger over excellent coffee and surprisingly thoughtful food, from crepes to a fully gluten-free menu that doesn't compromise on quality. The staff consistently goes out of their way to help, whether you're stopping by solo for your birthday or settling in with friends for the afternoon, and the relaxed vibe is just right for actually connecting with people instead of rushing through. It's the kind of neighborhood cafe that feels like a real gathering place, complete with occasional live music and a full beverage program that includes beer and cider.”

I met a friend here for Sunday lunch at 1pm. The weather was still cool so we sat inside. There aren't a lot of inside tables but we were able to find seating without difficulty. Service was quick and friendly. I had a savory chicken crepe and my friend had a lemon curd crepe. I enjoyed mine and she seemed to enjoy hers. She had a chai latte to drink; it wasn't sweet enough for her so she added about half of the whipped topping off her crepe. It was an enjoyable meal; I plan to come back sometime with my husband.
First off The service was excellent. Very friendly and Helpful. The guy Taking my order helped guide me and was Very accommodating. When the food came out (To Go) The woman was Extremely Friendly with asking about Napkins and Silverware. Now the food. I ordered crepes and Eggs, Bacon and sourdough toast. I’ve loved crepes and Try everyone come across. Below Edible. I’m not sure what It even was. Bland. No flavor at all. The strawberry filling had no taste and Was Barley any on. The crepe itself was Just Not edible at all. I ordered an ice latte which was so so as well. I want to give them another chance but I’m not exactly sure with over $30 spent.
Wanted to check out a coffee shop for my birthday and this place did not disappoint! It's very hard finding gluten free cafés that aren't downtown, but their whole menu has gluten free options! Staff was friendly and accommodating. Coffee was delicious, my iced mocha tasted like a chocolate bar. My fiancé and I both got breakfast sandwiches, his regular and mine gluten free, and they were both delicious. Their gluten free bread doesn't fall apart or taste like cardboard. Will definitely be going back!
We were here to hangout with our friends. Love the ambiance atmosphere, get a crepe, and coffee. Our friends got crepe, drink, and delicious bun with yolks!
16 tons is a nice little cafe on the south side of Eugene. They sell coffee drink, have a food selection, as well as serve beer or cider. Sometimes they have live music. Outdoor seating is available. Staff is friendly and food s tasty. I enjoy the crepes they offer.
