A great little coffee shop with a little book store and shop attached. The turmeric latte was not only pretty but tasted delicious.

Storied Provisions in Flower Mound, Texas is a must stop. The Americano is easily the best in the area, smooth and strong without that burnt taste. And don’t skip the stuffed bagel, it’s unreal and absolutely worth the hype. The space itself makes you want to stay awhile. You can grab coffee, eat, and browse in a beautifully designed shop that feels relaxed and welcoming. It’s the kind of place you’ll come back to once you’ve been. If you’re looking for a new coffee spot in Flower Mound, this one delivers.

We were looking for another coffee shop closer to our home than the others we usually frequent. My wife saw a new place, Storied Provisions, so we decided to give it a try; and we are so glad we did! First off, (for a coffee shop, most important) the coffee is excellent. No over roasted or burnt beans here! Smooth, round, flavorful, aromatic, choice of milks, and served piping hot; just the way we like it! All in a great, comfortable, atmosphere (I’d love a couple of sofas though, as the bench seats, even with the cushions, are not too comfortable on the back. The regular chairs are well padded and comfortable). We also tried the pastries. I wanted to try their “Irish Scones” which come with butter and jelly. I asked for “clotted cream” (the traditional way scones are served in England and Ireland. And with growing up in both England and Ireland I feel fully qualified to judge 😁) but they didn’t have any, just the butter. Which is okay (9/10) as many people eat them this way when the clotted cream isn’t available, it’s just not ten out of ten😁. We didn’t get into the age old debate over the Devon or Cornwall method (cream first or jam first LOL 😂 Although I’m a cream first man, so the cream hits the tongue first! 😂) However, the actual raisin scone was flavorful, with a good texture, just a little over baked. My wife had the banana bread. Which (our fault as we didn’t see the annotation) was gluten free, which as you know makes for a quite dry bread (I love my gluten!😂), instead of that rich, moist, texture we were expecting. So, it was exactly as it should be, despite our expectations to the contrary. Also, there was far too much cinnamon overpowering the banana flavor, as it’s not a cinnamon/banana bread 😁 (It doesn’t help that I’m not a huge fan of the American habit of putting cinnamon in/on everything😁) But here’s the surprise… Upon hearing our comments, the baker actually came out to chat with us. The lovely Diane (Diane means: “Devine, Heavenly, or Goddess Like😁) explained that the bakery is new (only a few weeks old) and they are still getting used to the new high power ovens, which explained the slight over baking (the cookies were very good!). We chatted about her trip to Ireland, where, as a baker, she fell in love with the scones, and wanted to replicate them. I can safely say she succeeded! We had a lovely chat with Diane, and later with Bree (Bree means: Strength, Power, Exalted One😁), the manager. Both of whom were a delight. Bree, like my wife, played college level soccer, so plenty in common! I can say categorical that we will be back for the coffee and baked goods! Thank goodness we found a great place closer to home. Thanks to all the crew. See you soon!

sourdough chocolate chip and the mocha latte were both very good, but I wouldn't recommend the chai. the staff was very friendly, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place! mercantile also has a lot of great books & products--will definitely be coming back again ❤️

Really cool spot to grab some coffee and/or snag a little gift or book! Good seating options and coffee. The “Storied Latte” with amaretto is VERY tasty. Definitely recommend swinging by if you need a spot to hang out!
