The Croissant Spot
1165 Lincoln Ave, San Jose, CA
Crema's Take
“This San Jose spot is a delightful surprise for Italian pastry lovers—while the name might mislead croissant purists, it's actually a cornetto and Italian cookie bakery that's genuinely hard to find in the US. The freshly baked cornettos and butter pastries are the real stars here, paired with gelato and espresso drinks that make for a perfect quick grab or leisurely Italian-style breakfast. If you're craving an authentic taste of an Italian bakery counter rather than a French pastry shop, this hidden gem delivers the genuine article.”

This is not an actual croissant place. There are freshly baked croissants on the menu but it is a gelato/ Italian cookie place.
This is not a croissant bakery. This is a cornetto bakery!!! I cannot believe I have found a cornetto bakery in the US. I had been looking for cornetto since my Italy trip last year. I got so excited and ordered every flavor. I love the apricot one and hope they make a honey cornetto soon. I think this place should promote themselves as an authentic Italian cornetto bakery rather than a croissant bakery. If people expect a French croissant that are common in the US, they may get disappointed. This bakery needs a better marketing/PR strategy because I am sure there are many people who miss a cornetto and they will appreciate this place.
I ordered from this place via DoorDash and so I won't be able to speak to service or atmosphere too much but will talk about food: I ordered a few croissants but have only had the normal butter croissant. I ordered first thing in the morning and so I think it was still warm when it was delivered. It was pretty light, flaky and buttery. It was not the best croissant I have had but it was also not as dense as an Italian cornetto. Overall, solid croissant and considering delivery was very quick and ready by time DoorDash got there, service assumed to be good.
This place is a hidden gem. Had the best croissant here that I have had in a while. I tried the butter croissant and chocolate croissant. Both were amazing and fresh
If you love croissants- this is not the place to go. They look as if they may have great Italian breakfast pastry- but I was looking for croissant- they were horrible- the inside had not been given time to rise, it was a doughy mess. I love croissant- and try them everywhere I go, this place, for croissants is a strong pass. Maybe try their Italian pastry.
