Crema's Take

Tucked inside the Boston Harbor Hotel, Dandelion draws you in with the aroma of butter and fresh espresso before you've even ordered—a newly opened spot that feels like a carefully curated secret despite its upscale location. Their creative coffee menu shines alongside exceptional pastries and light breakfast fare like hard-boiled eggs with spicy mayo, all served by genuinely outstanding staff in an intimate setting that inspires repeat visits. With only a handful of tables, it's the kind of place that rewards lingering over a chai latte while watching the waterfront.

Located inside the Boston Harbor Hotel, this cafe is a nice breakfast option if you’re staying there. I loved the chai latte, and the hard-boiled eggs with spicy mayo were delicious. The almond croissant was a little too sweet for my taste, but overall I enjoyed it.

Beautiful spot in Boston well worth a visit! Creative coffee menu and absolutely gorgeous surroundings - I returned twice in two days and will certainly do so the next time I’m in town! In addition to the great coffee Tom was the stand-out on both of my visits and offered great Boston suggestions for an out-of-towner! Thank you Tom for being so great. Very convenient short walk from the Intercontinental.

If there is one Boston spot you absolutely cannot miss, it’s the Dandelion Coffee & Provision at the Boston Harbor Hotel. The moment you walk in, the aroma of butter, warm pastry, and fresh coffee feels like a hug. Every croissant is made completely from scratch—layered, laminated, and baked to perfection. They’re impossibly flaky and tender all at once, the kind of pastry that shatters delicately when you bite in. My personal favorite is the almond croissant—fragrant, rich, and just sweet enough. My daughter loves the classic butter croissant, simple and perfect. And my son is obsessed with the chocolate croissant, filled with deep, velvety cocoa that tastes like pure joy. And then there’s the chocolate chip pecan cookie—hands down one of the best in Boston. Crispy edges, gooey center, toasted pecans… it’s decadent in the best possible way. T he café itself is beautifully designed—elegant, bright, and refined. Grab your pastry, sip a perfectly made coffee, and wander into the Boston Harbor Hotel lobby to admire their stunning floral arrangements. Then sit by the window, take in the breathtaking harbor views, and let the whole experience slow you down. Don’t leave without exploring the culinary magic coming from Executive Pastry Chef Chelsea and her team—their creativity and craft truly make this place unforgettable. Danillion Café is not just a café—it’s a moment of joy you’ll want to relive again and again.

Dandelion is a newly opened, beautiful coffee and pastry shop located within the Boston Harbor Hotel. As a frequent guest of the hotel, this establishment is a much welcomed edition. The coffee this morning was fantastic and the pastries are delightful. Looking forward to stopping down here each morning during the rest of our stay!

The staff is outstanding. The service is outstanding. Interesting environment felt a bit sterile to me only three tables total so only six people can sit down at a time plus a few tall bar type chairs at the window. My biggest issue was the cost of the sandwich. $14.77. It comes wrapped up as you see in the picture. The container itself felt like it could be recycled yet I did not see any recycling bins. The brioche bun was a little greasy. It was soaked in butter. So overall, the sandwich tasted good yes but I don’t want to know the fat or calorie content and not quite worth the money as far as I’m concerned.
