Crema's Take

Tatte feels like the heart of Boston's café culture, with a sun-filled space near South Station that somehow captures that perfect blend of cozy European energy and vibrant local buzz. Their pistachio lattes and creative specialty drinks pair beautifully with standout dishes like shakshuka and halloumi sandwiches, while excellent pastries and fresh bread make it equally good for a quick pastry run or a leisurely window seat people-watching session with your laptop.

This was my second time at Tatte, and it was just as good as the first! We ordered the shakshuka and the halloumi sandwich, and both were absolutely delicious. The pistachio latte was amazing, so flavorful and perfectly made. I’ll definitely be back to try their desserts, because they look incredible! Update: I came back and tried the vanilla lime Krembu, it was delicious!

🌱 Hip, cool, great vibes in a large sun-filled space conveniently located within a few blocks of Boston’s South Street Station 🚉 and my Amtrak train! Total nachat-fest to walk into this place and see so many ingredients from THE Motherland! Delicious foods raging from super creative salads made with beets, feta and farro and sandwiches made using a variety of breads all made in-house! You order at the cash register, then given a number to place on your table, within 8-10 minutes…your food arrives, beautifully plated with the freshest ingredients!!! I really tried to resist the baked goods but couldn’t…I had their berry meringue cookie before my lunch and a their buttery Nutella cookie afterwards…delish! I had the pleasure of meeting one of their pastry chefs who absolutely loves his job..the truth is…everyone here does! Great vibes all around! That’s great to see. EVERY food item here is worthy of being featured on the cover of the most respected culinary magazines. I need to return and investigate further… 🔎 To be frank, I do wish they’d remove bacon from the menu. That just did not “compute” with me. But I guess that’s what their clients demand. 🤷🏽‍♀️

A nice bakery shop near South Station. They have free wifi and a lot of seatings. It's very nice sitting by the window looking at people walking by. This somehow took me back to London so it's very nostalgic. Breakfast was good, although I think it's a bit bland. The restaurant looks new and clean but restroom was noticeably quite dirty when I went, unfortunately.

Solid place to eat today after the No Kings Rally at Boston Common on an amazing Fall Saturday in Boston! Walking back to South Station, Tatte was a perfect place to stop to rehydrate and have some food before a train ride home. The cold water station was greatly appreciated; no coffee on this visit, but i look forward to it next time! We each ordered a sandwich and can of tonic, with a dessert to split. The water station was also greatly appreciated. Then we went on our way home on the south shore.

Tatte feels like one of Boston’s signature cafés — cozy, vibrant, and full of character. The scrambled eggs and fresh mozzarella sandwich were fresh and tasty, and the bread was excellent. It’s also a family-friendly place, which we really appreciated. On the downside, it gets very crowded and noisy during peak hours, and the service can feel a bit rushed. Prices are also on the higher side. Still, it’s a must-try spot if you want to experience a true Boston café atmosphere
