Madruga Bakery

This is a true neighborhood bakery, beloved by residents and visitors alike. The quality of the food is superb, everything is freshly prepared using the best ingredients and the food has a 'home-cooked' feel. It kind of is, as they are baking in the open kitchen right in front of you. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the staff are cheerful and welcoming. A special shoutout to Alonso, the gentleman with the tattoos, the tall gentleman at the payment counter, and the lovely young lady at the pick-up counter, (i'm sorry i don't know your names!) who always greet me with warmth and a smile.

One of the best Bakeries in town. Place is always busy. Monkey bread is a must! Also try the brisket sandwich it is amazing.

Very disappointed with the pecan and pumpkin pies I purchased the day before Thanksgiving. The filling for both was very good however the crust for each had no flavor and more so the crust was paper thin and flaky on the bottom. Especially for the pecan pie filling when cutting a slice the pie crust on the bottom could not support the slice and therefore fell apart when serving it, even a tiny slice. And the crust along the rim was hard and was not easy to cut thru. At I believe $42 per pie my husband and I were both annoyed and felt we wasted $84 for pies that were not enjoyable due to the terrible pie crust. Madruga definitely failed with these pies and our Thanksgiving day guests definitely agreed. I hope the baker who made them reads this.

My absolute favorite bakery in Miami. The ambiance feels like home and everything on the menu always delivers. Cannot wait to order some treats for my graduation next year for my family ♥️

Right so…..I’m a complicated guy that likes simple things…today I was blessed. My friend recommended this place because I was close by and wanted a bite. She said the egg sandwich was great and that it’s a great spot. I believed her. I came in to a line that went out the door a touch. A gentleman was holding the door open for those waiting, I later found out his name is Larry. He asked me how I was doing with real interest, and we chatted for a second. He recommended the chori pan on special, although after telling him it’s my first time - he agreed that the egg sandwich was a great thing to try first. I ordered a cortado and a chocolate cookie as well. Leisa helped me order and she is a lovely joy to order from. The food came out quick as did the coffee. I sat down and spilled my coffee while putting sugar. They helped me clean it and brought me a new one without even asking… The sandwich was exquisite. Bacon was kind of caramelized, so it had a nice bite and thickness. The egg immediately bursted, providing for a nice dip. Complete perfect sandwich. They got water on tap as well for the guests. It’s cold and that was a nice touch. As for the flourless chocolate cookie…perfect once again. This might be the most detailed review I’ve written, as the experience has required it of me. Initially I was apprehensive to spend the money, as it was $23 including tip for all this. But…I knew that you get what you pay for, and now I’m ready to do some good work and continue to have a powerful day… So thank you to the team. Especially the staff that helped clean my mess.
