Crema's Take
“Tucked inside a supermarket in Kapaa, Island Gourmet Coffee punches above its convenient location with a surprisingly solid breakfast menu—the kim chee fried rice and hash brown glory plate earn genuine delight from regulars. The cold brew and iced vanilla lattes hit the mark when the baristas are on, though quality can be inconsistent, and it's worth ordering a medium cold drink since their sizes run a bit loose with the pour.”

Great place to grab coffee! We stopped by at this place recently to grab a pick me up drink. It’s located inside a supermarket. We ordered iced vanilla latte. The staff is friendly and the service was fast. Their coffee is decent - nothing special. This place is located near the beach so you can grab a drink and walk along the beach. They have a variety of milk tea options too!
This place is a disgrace of coffee industry. If you want to taste cheap burnt coffee, this is your place. They need to change their name to something other than gourmet. Also be aware of their lid that doesn’t fit your cup and will eventually spill all over your shirts. Save yourself from wasting any money and buy a ready to drink coffee from the market which is thousand times better.
Fun, clean store with a little of everything, which was a surprise because we just wanted breakfast. The Kim chee fried rice (yes, I actually did spell that correctly), and hash brown glory plate (made that up, but it did have a hash brown base) were delicious. They were understaffed and stressed, so it took a minute, but worth the wait.
Beware of coffee sizes for cold drinks the large and medium are the exact same ounces. You pay extra for a large but it’s truly a medium in liquid content. So just order a medium. 🤙🏼
It is both a blessing and curse to have stayed so close to Coconut Marketplace and this gem. If you spend $100 at any ABC store, including drinks from Island Gourmet Coffee, you can qualify for a free gift. I ordered Kona coffee, Jasmine milk tea, regular milk tea, Ube cookie smoothie. The ube cookie smoothie was definitely the best. Strong ube flavour and just overall so delicious. Milk teas felt a bit lacking in flavour compared to what I get in Toronto. Kona coffee was so smooth and not bitter at all. The staff here are also incredibly nice and service was amazing every time.
