Crema's Take

G Street Cafe is a bare-bones downtown lunch spot that does cheap, quick food—burritos under $6, sandwiches, breakfast—with inconsistent execution and a few genuinely good items (the teriyaki chicken, fresh bagels from Costco). Multiple reviewers complain about microwaved food, dried-out proteins, and burnt items, and there's mention of a card fraud incident that went unresolved, which is a serious red flag. It's fine if you're desperate for an affordable grab near your office, but don't expect anything beyond that.

What to expect

Classic coffee drinks done right. Quick-grab spot. Full breakfast, pastries, and light food on the menu.

To convenient little lunch spot downtown that provides a couple hot food options, salads and sandwiches. No frills but everything that you'd expect out of a little cafe. The staff are polite.

Ordered a sandwich and it was disappointing. Chicken was dry and bacon was burnt. Definitely not worth $12. In addition, myself and two other people used our card here and immediately after all three of us had our card compromised. Use caution using your card here.

A decent, affordable place to get lunch if you are nearby. I had the chorizo burrito for under $6. It was fluffy style scrambled eggs-- the kind with lots of air. Tasted fine. Salsa was fresh but not spicy. Espresso was also fine--double shot. My friend had a turkey avocado…

The teriyaki chicken here is a taste that reminds me of my mom's home-made chicken. The glossy teriyaki chicken and rice soaked in sauce are the best combination. If you are busy, of course, to-go, but if you have time, I recommend you to eat in the restaurant.

Food is ok, just about everything is microwaved, do not order the biscuits and gravy you will be very disappointed. The bagels are good they get them from Costco so the quality is good, fresh fruit is not so fresh but the Chicken teriyaki is great. Service is slow and ordering…
