Red Bay Coffee

3206 Grand Ave, Oakland, CA

★★★★4.2(55 Google reviews)

Crema's Take

Red Bay Coffee is a cozy Oakland gem that takes pride in small-batch craft—they make their syrups in-house and pull seriously good espresso that arrives impressively fast despite the care that goes into it. The cinnamon latte with housemade syrup is a standout, and their pastry and food game is legit, from killer veggie scones to thoughtfully sourced options. Just a heads up: their hours can be a bit unpredictable, so it's worth calling ahead before making the trip.

Inconsistent hours. If you want to close early on a consistent basis, can you officially adjust your hours? It’s very frustrating to go during business hours and find that you’re closed… **Update: Lowered rating to one star because it is always closed in the afternoons… can ownership please update with accurate hours?? It’s 4pm and it looks like it’s been closed for awhile… Sadly taking my business elsewhere.

Never in my life did I think I would get coffee as fast as I did at Red Bay. There was no line and right as I was closing out tip my coffee was about done. Then I had pastry questions and the barrista answered them with detail. So shout to the barrista with the blue eyebrows.

Cute lil local shop in Oakland. I got the cinnamon latte with Almond milk. It was DELICIOUS! Not too sweet perfect amount of cinnamon. They make their syrups in house which a love. I liked this location better than the ferry building location. If you’re in the area make sure you stop by!

Great espresso and iced americano. Friendly staff. Veggie scone was killer--like cheddar broccoli soup in the best way.

I swear I’ve reviewed this place twice already and my reviews keep getting moved to other locations. This is for the grand lake location next to the theater. This spot is very small & cozy with no seating. Only 3 people can be in there at a time so it’s a great option for a quick stop rather than a sit down location. I go here weekly to buy my beans and sometimes after the farmers market if the truck is too busy.
