Le's Baguette Banh Mi Cafe
4607 Dryades St, New Orleans, LA
Crema's Take
“This beloved Vietnamese-French hybrid spot in a quiet New Orleans neighborhood does banh mi and pho with genuine care, using real ingredients and natural broths that set them apart from quick chains. The vibe shifts seamlessly between a quick grab-and-go spot for commuters and a slow, welcoming gathering place where regulars like Robert and Kevin behind the counter become friends. Beyond the standout banh mi and pork bao buns, their full breakfast menu and pastries make it perfect for lingering over coffee or catching up with someone special.”

This quaint little eatery is absolutely fantastic. I got the ginger chicken rice plate which has never disappointed me. The service is also top notch. I have not been in in 4 years and the guy behind the counter (recognized me. This is a spot I should really be spending more time in. Absolutely fantastic!!
I got the beef/brisket pho, shrimp spring rolls, and lemongrass pork bahn mi. I think the pho could use a lot of improvement in terms of portion size and broth flavor. I can simply get better portion value at other places than here. The broth flavor is extremely bland, and the amount of beef/brisket pieces were minimal. The pork bahn mi was solid. Lots of flavor from the meat, pickled veggies, and aioli sauce - sriracha sauce paired very well with it. No complains with the shrimp spring rolls either - the peanut sauce was great.
Le’s is me and my boyfriends go-to. Their bah mi is to die for and they’re pho is amazing. The pork bao buns are amazing as well. Robert and Kevin are kind and always chatting it up with us. I recommend this place to everyone. (Also their takeout is just as good and they pack all the side perfectly) I love this place!!!
Solid Vietnamese restaurant in a quiet neighborhood. Everything tasted good. They use real ingredients, you can tell from their broth that it is all natural, it is very light, they didn't cheat using msg or bullions. For a southerner, portion is kinda small. Even the garnishes for pho is very little. When you go to other Vietnamese restaurant or watch travel vlog, usually a Bigg bowl of noddles. They have wifi here, seating is limited because it is basically a small house converted to a restaurant. You can park on the street nearby
I have been wanting good Banh Mi. Don’t listen to the reviews saying this is “bad neighborhood” It’s in a decent area- the parking will be street. Food was amazing. The French bread was amazing. The filling had just enough seasoning without overpowering. Thai tea was good but the boba will need some work.
