Crema's Take
“This Vestavia Hills spot has built a devoted following around exceptionally crafted Southern biscuits made with genuinely high-quality ingredients and no seed oils, paired with thoughtfully executed espresso drinks like their Blueberry Spice Latte. The team—particularly Grace and Rachel—creates a genuinely welcoming atmosphere that keeps people coming back, and reviewers consistently rave about the freshness and care evident in everything from the biscuits to the organic coffee. It's not a budget option, but fans agree the quality ingredients and attention to detail justify the price in a way that sets it apart from typical breakfast spots.”

Seriously that was the best chicken biscuit I’ve ever had! Definitely not cheap, but there are other places that charge these prices without using the same high quality ingredients. With the ingredients they use, I was happy to pay that price, and they didn’t cheap out on portions!
This is the place in town for biscuits, coffee & overall breakfast stop. Incredible staff led by Grace & Rachel. Top of the line food, with fresh ingredients, no seed oils (unless fried) organic coffee. They are timely, friendly & overall just a great spot. They also have a sneaky fantastic lunch menu, so whether the morning or noon, AL biscuit CO needs to be a rhythm in your life.
This new location is just as delicious and welcoming as the original. Our biscuits were divine. I got the Blueberry spice latte and highly recommend it!
It seems, The Alabama Biscuit Co. (ABC) is built on the great Southern soda biscuit. So, I started there ordering no butter or jam, no honey or sausage gravy. I wasn’t disappointed, nor was I wowed. (The competition is high among biscuits. Including the ones made right here at home! Thanks, Kara!) The ABC biscuit is fairly large, earthy and flaky. The taste, texture and appearance lends itself to a whole-wheat-flour mixture. All in all, a pretty good start. … It also appears The ABC has their own coffee line with an impressive cold brew set up. … I enjoyed the bright one-room dining area with seating for about 30 - comfy with about 20. There’s additional seating on their patio. The service was friendly, but a bit slow and a little chaotic. (You order, pay, and walk away. Then an employee has to find you checking to see what you ordered. Odd, no name for the order requested. It’s definitely not speedy like Chick-Fil-A.) … The employees seem friendly, and people, mainly young families, appeared to be enjoying themselves. Some greeting each other with obvious community connections. There was no overhead menu (surprise), but one can find paper menus in front of the cashier. … I have mixed thoughts and feelings about the paper plates and bowls as well as the plastic dinnerware. I much prefer the washables. … I’ll return. It’s good to have a breakfast/coffee shop in the Rocky Ridge neighborhood.
Excellent. First time at Alabama Biscuit and I hate I waited so long. We found out that this was the first day open for this location. They were not busy, but everything was handled well so I expect they would be fine when busy. Friendly staff, nice interior (a little loud) with nice wood tables. Grits, Pear Bis-cake, Alabama biscuit were very tasty. Don’t be put off that the biscuits don’t look like your Grandma’s, they taste great. It is not inexpensive, but for us it was worth it. We could see into the kitchen and see the staff slicing fresh fruit for the pear bus-cake.
