Simones Coffee & Tea

Crema's Take
“Simones Coffee & Tea is a minimalist haven in Ventura where the careful espresso work and thoughtful specialty drinks are matched only by the genuine warmth of the staff—regulars travel across the country to return here, and first-time visitors immediately feel that welcoming energy. Beyond the excellent coffee, you'll find yourself lingering over their standout pastries (their Raisin Bran muffins are worth the internal debate) and exploring creative matcha options, all in a calm-yet-energizing space that's equally suited for solo focus or meeting with friends.”

Even though I live across the country, a visit to Simone’s is non-negotiable every time I’m in Ventura. From my very first trip, I was welcomed not only by the shop’s calming yet energizing minimalist, modern-meets-coastal vibe, but also by some of the sweetest baristas you’ll ever meet. I thought it couldn’t get better. Until I took my first bite of their breakfast wrap. Hands down the freshest, most delicious wrap I’ve ever had. And the bite I stole from my partner’s croissant sandwich? Somehow even better. On my most recent visit, I tried their decaf iced coffee and a cinnamon roll—both were absolutely incredible. When decaf doesn’t taste like decaf, you know it’s good. And let me tell you, it was that good. Smooth, rich, and completely satisfying. But here’s what truly sets them apart. This Valentine’s Day, I wanted to surprise my partner, who visits the café regularly. I reached out from across the country and the team personally called me to arrange a gift card for pickup. They even signed the sleeve with a heart—just like I would have. That level of thoughtfulness and care is rare, and it meant everything. Amazing food, exceptional coffee, and genuinely kind people—what more could you ask for? If you need a reason to visit, this is it.
Wow! A coffee shop with down home personal care. I’m in! I had to try both Raisin Bran muffins as they have two to choose from. I can’t decide other than one is sweeter than the other. Looks like great food menu options I’ll have to come back for. My decaf iced mocha is perfect but the best part is the really nice staff. I feel like I’m in a small town old fashioned type of cafe.
Good sandwiches just wished my latte had a crisper taste finish overall I would be back whenever I'm in the area just be aware it does get busy
I stopped by to grab some muffins for a client and a coffee for myself. The woman who took my order was very sweet and helpful. It was a quick transaction and there were lots of people in the caffe already seated and more in line so I took everything to go. I had the strawberry and cream muffin and it was delicious and moist. The coffee was good however I wish the espresso was stronger. Overall, nice place to grab a coffee and snack.
Great local coffee shop. There are a lot of choices. The coffee tasted very good. They offered food, and we did not try it but looked good. They also have fun gifts. We will return when we are in the area.
