Campus Grounds

Campus Grounds is an example of how to open a great breakfast place. Most breakfast shops either have good coffee or good food but rarely both. Campus Grounds hit it out of the park on both. I ordered a coffee before breakfast and was really impressed. It was roasted locally and some of the best coffee I've had in Huntsville. Kind of apprehensive on the food (see above) but pleasantly surprised. It was made in house from fresh ingredients and well-thought out. Will definitely be going back!

This addition to the Huntsville coffee scene is located in Straight to Ale Brewery. The barista was super friendly and there is plenty of space to get some work done! Seasonal lattes are so delicious—-highly recommend!!

I just got the “Du Bai Bai” latte with the alcohol option. The Dubai chocolate and pistachio flavors blended perfectly with the shot of whiskey. It was like heaven in a cup, no BS. I’ve purchased multiple lattes from here and every single one is AMAZING! So much flavor and at a fair price. The other coffee spots might wanna watch out because there’s a new kid on the block and he’s kickin’ ass, takin’ names, giving swirlies to the high priced coffee bullies in the neighborhood!

Stopped into Campus Grounds and was genuinely impressed. The latte was smooth and well-balanced with no bitterness at all—that rare sweet spot where the foam, milk, and coffee actually agree with each other. I ordered a peppermint mocha, and instead of syrup overload, I requested the optional peppermint liqueur, which made it a festive Christmas treat! Clean flavor, not cloying. Easily a 4.5/5. Temperature was perfect, the shop itself is welcoming, and the whole experience felt thoughtful rather than rushed. I’d absolutely order again. Also worth mentioning: the drip coffee was solid (another 4.5/5). Half-and-half is available in single-serve cups, with fresh half-and-half available for a small upcharge if that’s your preference. Emily was especially friendly and made the visit even better—great service without hovering. You can tell this place cares about what they’re serving. Highly recommend if you like coffee that’s smooth, intentional, and not trying to punch you in the mouth with sugar. ☕✨ Side note: I never give a straight 5 to anything—not because a place doesn’t deserve it, but because I’m still out here chasing the elusive “perfect cup.”

Great additional to STA. Got the seasonal lattes and they were perfect! The stuffed tots were amazing, with a perfect dipping sauce. Will definitely be back.
