Heady Coffee

4800 Baseline Rd, Boulder, CO

★★★★★4.5(57 Google reviews)

Crema's Take

Heady Coffee feels less like a typical café and more like a curated experience, blending quality espresso drinks with an impressive selection of plants and handmade ceramics for sale—making it as much a browsing destination as a coffee stop. The baristas genuinely know their regulars by name and clearly care about craft details, from house-made lavender syrup on their iced Americanos to thoughtfully chosen oat milk options, creating an atmosphere where you're welcomed warmly whether you're in a rush or settling in for hours. It's the kind of place where you might grab a coffee and end up leaving with a new plant and a sense of having discovered something special in Boulder.

The coffee was good but the true stand out was the staff. They have Califia Farms oat milk, which is it has a neutral flavor. She was very friendly and made for a pleasant experience while talking plants and coffee. The place is hidden in a corner on the Safeway side, back by the taco shop. If you want a spot to have a tasty coffee with a good vibe and plants, this is the spot.

Heady Coffee is the best cafe in Boulder and Sarah is the best barista in town! I love their selection of art and plants that are for sale and my iced mocha is always perfection.

I love this coffee/plant shop, and get a latte often. The crew is very friendly and greets me by name! It’s easy to grab a bagel at Big Daddy’s or a yummy breakfast burrito next door at McDevitts to go with your Heady coffee. It’s a perfect way to start your day.

Iced Americano with house made lavender syrup — my husband is pretty particular when it comes to lavender drinks and he said this is the best one he’s had! Cheers!

Good coffee and several pastry and sandwich options. They even have my fav local kimchi. You can buy some nice handmade cups and plant pots. They have Boulder tea house tea.
