Crema's Take

Alla Prima is a decidedly artsy Pensacola gem where serious espresso craftsmanship meets a genuinely chill creative space—the kind of place that feels equally at home hosting intimate private events or solo coffee contemplation. Owners Lou and Paige have created something special here: high-quality, carefully pulled shots and thoughtful pour overs paired with an unpretentious vibe that celebrates slowness in the best way, even if the pricing and parking situation require a little patience alongside your coffee.

We reserved Alla Prima for a private event and could not have been more pleased. Lou and Paige were so hospitable and accommodating, the food and coffee were delicious, and the shop’s vibes are perfect. Thank you, Alla Prima, for helping us create a magical event for the newly engaged couple. Forever grateful!

Alla Prima Coffee Roaster is an absolute gem in Pensacola. The place has a super artsy, chill vibe inside—perfect for slowing down and enjoying a real coffee moment. Their espresso is the real deal, rich and perfectly pulled, and the European-style paninis are incredibly tasteful and fresh. Everything feels thoughtfully made, from the drinks to the atmosphere, and it honestly made my short stay in Pensacola so much more memorable. If you love great espresso and a relaxed, creative space, this spot is a must. ☕️🥪✨

This coffee was DELICIOUS and so high quality. I truly enjoyed the service, environment, and taste. The only problem was the price. I got a large iced latte with oat milk and it was almost ELEVEN dollars. I feel like the price was very ridiculous but everything else was great! Please consider lowering your prices because I would love to return here.

Nice hip little coffee shop not to far from the downtown and Palafox. Good coffee, good menu selection. Food is a little on the expensive side. Service was a bit slow as well. Several different types of their own roasts were available for purchase.

Alla Prima Coffee Roaster — where the coffee is decent, the parking is a mythical concept, and the art prices will make you reconsider your own artistic potential. Tried a regular latte with their spiced brown sugar flavor — not bad, and I appreciate the decaf option. Also sampled the blueberry ube latte, which was… interesting. Earthy, unique aftertaste, definitely a conversation starter — but $8.50 for a 12 oz cup? That’s artisan pricing for a drink that confused my taste buds. Service was friendly and solid. The interior? It’s fine. Nothing to write home about unless you're really into slightly overpriced paintings and crochet pieces. Honestly, some of that art had me thinking “I could’ve made this — and I can barely draw stick figures.” The real villain here is the parking. It’s essentially a scavenger hunt with the looming threat of being towed. Street parking only, and every nearby lot is guarded like Fort Knox unless you’re shopping elsewhere. Overall: Come if you're nearby and curious, but maybe don’t make a pilgrimage — and definitely don’t come if parallel parking gives you anxiety.
