Crema's Take
“This counter-service spot in Farragut Square wins hearts with its self-seating system and stellar execution across a bustling menu of breakfast dishes, sandwiches, and particularly showstopping pastries and cakes that keep regulars coming back. The friendly staff moves with purpose in a space that feels equally welcoming for a solo coffee break or a lingering meeting, and the consistently excellent food—from shakshuka to salads—means there's something genuinely craveable whether you're there at opening or stopping by for lunch.”

We went here for breakfast and I have to say I really liked the place. You choose your table, order at the counter, and they give you an order number. The food was excellent—really, really good. The coffee, however, wasn’t great, and the service could have been better. I had to ask the waitress twice for sugar because they bring you the coffee but don’t explain the process or bring it to the table. That said, the food is definitely delicious, and the pastries are amazing.
Came here 2 days in a row for breakfast, they've got great options to choose from, all super tasty! Their cakes and pastries look amazing as well, but unfortunately I didn't try those. Highly recommended, friendly staff too.
I had such a wonderful experience at Tatte Bakery & Café! The staff was super friendly and helpful, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Their desserts are absolutely amazing—especially the lemon tart and tiramisu, which were both perfection. The coffee drinks were also outstanding; we tried the pistachio latte, honey halva latte, and the white peach mint tea, and each one was delicious and unique. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing afternoon sitting outside, with great food, great drinks, and genuinely kind staff. I’ll definitely be coming back! Always ask Demarcus for suggestions he gives the best!
Orders are placed at the counter. After ordering, a number is given to the customer to place on the table they choose. The food is then brought out by the staff when it is ready. I ordered the Potato, Mushroom, and Bacon Shakshuka. This dish was really delicious! The flavors were rich, comforting, and well-balanced. However, the bread was the imperfect part of the experience. It was both soft and hard at the same time. I believe it was toasted, so it had a crispy surface, but the inside remained soft. Unfortunately, the crispy edges kept scratching the inside of my mouth. After finishing the dish, it felt like the roof of my mouth was full of tiny cuts. I could still feel the pain during my next meal. My friend felt the same way about the bread. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were good. The only bummer was the bread.
Great place to get lunch! Never tried this place until recently, I decided to give it try and they have so many different options—sandwiches, salads, soups, Shakshuka, bowls, pastries, etc. The place is spacious inside with tons of seating—at weekday lunch it can get busy so you may need to wait a few minutes for a table. You order your food first, then find seating. Been here already three times in the past month and will definitely be back!
