Crema's Take

Tucked into Winter Park's charming old town, George's Cafe charms visitors with its cozy porch seating and genuine neighborhood feel—a refreshing escape from the busier downtown spots. While service can be inconsistent, regulars rave about standout drinks like the Pearl and exceptional Cuban sandwiches that rival Miami originals, making it worth arriving early to snag a seat among the intimate indoor space or peaceful outdoor seating.

So glad we walked a little past the busier places downtown that had long waits to find this little spot! We sat outside on the cozy porch and had a delicious lunch. Don from the boat tour (a long time resident himself) highly recommended this place & we see why! 👌

A true gem. My only regret is that I didn’t try out this place sooner. The Pearl is delicious and the Havana (cuban sandwich) is the best Cuban sandwich I have had outside of Miami, and better than several places in Miami. People are lovely here as well. We want more of these kinds of places to thrive, definitely give George’s Cafe a try. This is a must go to place in Winter Park and the Orlando area.

Went here for the first time for breakfast today and had such an lackluster experience. Walked in with my husband and toddler and were not greeted or acknowledged by two servers working. Finally we went to the order now sign and still waited there for 3 minutes while a server was cleaning out the fridge. We explained that we hadn’t been there before and asked about breakfast options. Was told the buffet was 16 a person when menu said 18? We were charged 18. We decided on two buffets and went outside to eat. There was an impressive spread of options for the price but unfortunately all was pretty much cold. The chicken and crab cake Benedict’s were rock hard. We did enjoy the shrimp and grits, waffle and bacon. No one came to clear our plates or check on us the entire hour we were there. We were only approached when we got up to leave an hour later. Such a bizarre experience with no customer service and lackluster food.

We went here for the Sunday breakfast buffet and had a great experience. Beware the café is small inside but there is much more seating outside. Would recommend getting here early if you want to sit inside. The buffet had some great food options like shrimp, crab cake, chicken and waffles, and potatoes. I personally loved the croissants, they were soft and flaky. The interior is also decorated so nicely with artwork for sale. Service was a little slow but not bad at all. Would definitely recommend this place.

Tucked away in quaint old town, the atmosphere is welcoming and homey. The food is fresh, delicious, and elevated. This place has all the feel of "the good days" while still keeping up with the "foodie" crowd. Highly recommend!
