Crema's Take

Nestled on the edge of Memphis with sweeping field views, this roastery-brewery hybrid offers a refreshingly curated menu of both traditional and inventive coffee drinks that prioritize quality over quantity. The converted industrial space radiates genuine warmth through its open, casual taproom and generous outdoor seating—making it equally perfect for a solo coffee break, a date, or lingering with friends while soaking in the unique landscape. Local reviewers consistently praise the friendly staff and killer brews that feel unexpectedly authentic rather than trying too hard, creating that rare gem atmosphere where you actually want to stay a while.

This is a hidden gem. The atmosphere is out of this world. The brewery is flanked by a bean/corn processing plant on its north and an open field to its south. The building itself is an open inviting place. I tried two of their beers on tap, the Hazy IPA and their wheat ale. Both excellent. The owners (I believe that’s who I spoke to) are friendly and welcoming. We were just driving through, but this would an amazing place to spend an evening. They have food trucks on site. Pleasantly surprised. Will be back.

What a great find for our first stop in Memphis! After a long drive from Little Rock, we needed a drink. As soon as we pulled up, we knew we had found a gem, with stunning views over the field and towards the Mississippi and downtown. The beers were exceptional, showcasing the brewmaster's skill. My only disappointment was the bartender, who was dry and unfriendly. Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to returning and planning around any future events they might have.

I stumbled upon Grind City one sweaty Memphis evening. At first I thought it seemed a poor imitation of other Memphis breweries, but what I found was totally unexpected: a limited, but distinct menu of unique and excellent beers that transcend the Memphis microbrew scene. The outdoor and indoor areas are immaculately kept, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I particularly like the large dog friendly lawn open for strolls with you loved ones or your beer. This place is truly a Memphis gem.

A very cool place for hanging out, or a casual date. They have a very informal and casual taproom with a plenty if outside and patio seating. It’s perfect for summer, or fall. They have inside tables as well for bad weather days. It’s a typical self service place. The server was nice and he suggested me what should I order. Although I’m not a beer connoisseur, but I loved the one I tried. Try a flight here as they have a bunch of options. They don’t have much snacks- we got some chips and cheese dip. Those were not house made and were very average. In beginning, when we arrived they gave us a free slider ( left over from a party) and that was good. I loved the gesture and approach the free food.
