Crema's Take

Aldar Cafe is a genuinely welcoming sanctuary that honors both specialty coffee craft and cultural hospitality, staying open late to serve the community during Ramadan and beyond. The menu goes beautifully beyond typical cafe fare—think Yemeni honeycomb bread with cream cheese, crepes, and standout drinks like their celebrated honey lattes and cascara—all served in a relaxed, comfortable space that feels like the antithesis of rushed chain coffee culture. Whether you're settling in for hours with your laptop, meeting friends, or refueling after a long day, the staff's warmth and the thoughtful atmosphere make this feel less like a transaction and more like coming home.

Relaxed, comfortable cafe with great vibes, pastries, desserts, coffees and teas along with a unique food menu and crepes. The girl was very nice and helpful and made me the best honey latte I've ever had. I definitely recommend and will be back!

Stopped by Aldar Cafe during Ramadan and really appreciated that they were open late. After a long day of fasting, it was nice to find a spot that was still serving fresh food and had a welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the dual sauce and dual meat pizza, which comes with both Alfredo and tomato sauce along with the two halal meats. The mix of the creamy Alfredo and the tangy tomato sauce actually worked really well together, and the meats were flavorful without being too heavy. Everything tasted fresh and well made. I also got a five inch cheese manakish, which was warm, soft, and had just the right amount of cheese. Simple but really satisfying. The staff were very friendly and patient, and they offered some helpful suggestions when I was deciding what to order. The space itself was clean and had great vibes. There was a good amount of seating, so it didn’t feel cramped, and it’s the kind of place where you can sit comfortably and enjoy your food without feeling rushed. Overall, it was a really good experience and I would definitely recommend checking it out, especially if you are looking for a late night option during Ramadan.

This place is the absolute antithesis of 7brew, Starbucks, and all the other weirdly hostile drive-through windows pretending to be coffee shops. Food and drinks are outstanding. Atmosphere is relaxed, cozy, and unpretentious. Staff are friendly and kind. The pace of the service is leisurely, as it ought to be! No one is screaming out order names from the counter—they bring it to your table. I highly recommend getting a pot of the Arabic coffee and spending a few hours sipping your way through it with a book—don’t worry, it won’t get cold because it’s brought out on a platter with a tea light to keep it hot. Perfect place to read, study, hang out. Memphis is lucky to have them.

Beautiful atmosphere! A full menu and wonderful sweets. The coffee is exceptional. We had Yemen black coffee, baklava, Yemeni honeycomb bread (Khaliat al Nahl) filled with cream cheese, then topped with sesame seeds and honey syrup! Delicious ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great atmosphere, perfect for studying or hanging out with friends. I didn’t have food but would recommend the cascara to drink! There is various seating available and handicap accessible tables. It is open late as well.
