Crema's Take

This intimate Dania Beach café punches well above its weight with some of Florida's best Cuban sandwiches—particularly their showstopping Cuban Supreme with perfectly crispy pressed bread and tender pulled pork—alongside silky café con leche and buttery guava and cream cheese pastries that taste homemade because they are. The no-frills, unassuming vibe with just a handful of tables creates the perfect spot to linger over espresso or grab a quick bite before your flight, and regulars rave about the genuine, unpretentious care that goes into every drink and plate.

Wow. This place might have one of the best Cuban Sandwiches in Florida! The “cuban supreme” is loaded with pulled pork and the bread is the right amount of crispy. Really pleasant surprise after stopping to grab gas on my way to FLL.

The Cafe con Leche was delish! Smooth and creamy with a rich coffee flavor. The homemade guava and cream cheese pastry was equally delightful and oh, so flavorful. A quaint small unassuming cafe off the street with a welcoming staff. Perfect for an early morning walk downtown.

Stopped in here before attending the Miami/Indiana National Championship game. Cafecito was delicious and their Cuban sandwiches were top tier! Small little seating area with about 6-7 tables seating 2 people each. They also had a walk-up window, for passerby’s, to order, as well.

12/6/2025—Just before boarding the Star Princess, I decided to stop by a Cuban joint—and no, not the cigar kind. I mean one of those small, unassuming places where the real magic happens: a proper café con leche the way only Cubans know how to make it. I wanted a good tostada and two croquetas, and honestly… Jesus delivered. I’m convinced He looked down and said, “Let her eat,” because the restaurant was open, close by, and waiting for us like the opening scene of a feel-good movie. The staff was friendly, the vibe was cozy, and my husband—who NEVER compliments coffee lightly—took one sip and said, “This is excellent.” For him, that is basically a full Grammy speech. The bread was perfect, the café con leche was heavenly, and my eggs with ham were exactly right. Not too much, not too little—Goldilocks would be proud. Of course, in true telenovela style, my croquetas never arrived… but then they surprised me and gave them on the house. I also asked for a pastelito, and Joseph—the sweetest guy—tried to give that free too, but I refused. I gave them five bucks because I like to support small businesses. Besides, it felt like the right thing to do while the imaginary theme song “Guantanamera” played faintly in the background. All in all, this little restaurant was the perfect in-and-out, delicious, Cuban warm-up meal before sailing away. The service was great, the food hit the spot, and I walked out feeling like the soundtrack should switch to “Smooth Sailing” as I headed toward the ship.

This place was SO good. We got a couple sandwiches, pastries, & espressos. Sandwiches were perfectly pressed and the bread had a nice crunch to it. The pastries were flaky and had just the right amount of filling. Would absolutely go back.
