Mutual Friends Coffee

Crema's Take
“Tucked into Marfa's landscape is a gem run by a genuinely kind crew of women who pour real care into both their espresso and their community—the kind of place where a perfectly pulled flat white arrives alongside the warmth of people who actually want you there. Whether you're grabbing a quick coffee and excellent pastry or settling in with a book at the counter, the quality shines through in every detail, from their thoughtfully sourced beans to their impeccably balanced chai lattes. It's the early-morning lifeline for Marfa (opening at 7:30 am when few others do) and exactly the sort of slow, intentional coffee shop that feels rare these days.”

This place is run by a crew of incredibly kind, hardworking, chill women. The hard work comes through, the coffee rules, and it’s a great place to meet new folks or read a good book at the counter. I look forward to spending time here every time I visit Marfa ☺️
Best coffee service in Marfa. Hands down. Don’t mess around .. grab a flat white and an excellent bag of beans for home. This place does it right. Coffee, bagels, or sweets… all excellent. Also: big fan of spaces that keep things warm, human, and rooted in community. You’ll feel it when you’re there.
Blink and you may miss this quaint cafe... Mutual Friends' staff is indeed friendly. The team member was flying solo on a busy Sunday morning, and never lost her composure. She was kind, efficient, and pulled a fantastic espresso shot! The biscuits and jam were in the classic Southern style, and the breakfast tacos were spot on and fresh. Snag the zucchini bread while you're there. Highly recommend... cheers!
During my recent visit to Mutual Friends in Marfa, Texas, I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of their chai latte. The blend of spices was perfectly balanced, offering a rich and flavorful experience that was both comforting and invigorating. The pricing was reasonable, providing excellent value for such a high-quality beverage. The café’s ambiance was inviting, with a friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere that made my visit all the more enjoyable. I highly recommend Mutual Friends to anyone in the Marfa area looking for a delightful chai latte at a fair price.
We stopped at Mutual Friends coffee shop while we were in Marfa. It’s the only coffee shop open at 7:30 am, which was a perfect time for us. It’s such a cute shop, the quintessential coffee shop in a small town. The owner was super friendly, helpful, and kind. She spent time chatting with us, giving us tips for the area and for hiking trails. The customers in the shop were equally kind and helpful, we felt so welcome. The coffee was perfection. The breakfast taco I got was absolutely delicious. The tortilla was nice and soft and it had amazing flavors. I also got the rye chocolate chip cookie, which I mostly saved for the trail. It was one of the best cookies I have ever had, and I will be thinking about that cookie very often. The flavor is perfection… an absolutely craveable cookie! As we walked out, the owner said, “Drinks lots of water and have safe.” She is so thoughtful and kind.
