Divvy Coffee & Buns
3714 Forbes Ave, Pittsburgh, PA
Crema's Take
“Divvy Coffee & Buns is a beautifully designed neighborhood spot in the Pitt area that excels at the fundamentals: no-fuss espresso drinks, exceptional breakfast sandwiches (the bacon, egg, and cheese is a standout), and an impressive lineup of both sweet and savory buns that set them apart from typical coffee shops. The tastefully decorated interior with plenty of seating makes it equally suited for a quick caffeine grab or lingering over a coffee date, though fair warning—those breakfast sandwiches come with Divvy's own artisanal polish rather than chain-shop convenience.”

Solid stop for a no-nonsense breakfast. The breakfast burger and the bacon, egg, and cheese both hit—simple, satisfying, and well-executed. Drinks were exactly what you want on an early Pittsburgh morning: iced coffee and jasmine green tea with a sharp, straightforward flavor that gets the job done. Space was clean, service great. Easy place to add to the regular rotation.
Located in University of Pittsburgh area, a great place for coffee and sandwiches Divvy Coffee & Buns @divvypgh . Plenty of seating inside and tastefully decorated. The mumbai veggie festival savory bun hit those tastebuds!
We got a decent coffee there and a breakfast sandwich. My friend described the sandwich as good, but only “a step up from a McDonald’s breakfast sandwich” for around $7. The cappuccino was good. Overall the atmosphere was the best part of this place… nice furniture, very quiet but also active environment.
What a cool place! They offer quite a variety of different breakfast options, both savory and sweet. I was most interested in their buns, which seemed to be a unique offering. So, I tried out the Sweet Paris dessert bun. The Sweet Paris bun came with a bit of bananas, strawberries, and Nutella. The portion was quite large, but it wasn’t all that cheap either. It came with an ample amount of delicious hazelnut and chocolate spread. The inside of the bun was soft and fluffy. Very tasty! The bottom had a nice crispiness to it. Almost like a tad of a coffee flavor at the bottom. Not too sweet or sugary itself, but a delicious sweet topping. I loved it. I would recommend this place for coffee, breakfast, or sweet buns. It’s a solid spot for sure!
This restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. Very aesthetic, a very cool place to be. If you are looking for a cool place for a coffee date. 100% recommend. The breakfast sandwiches are amazing, but the sweet buns did not hit the mark for me. They are coated in a thick exterior and it was hard to eat both texturally and in taste. Also, I understand how counterintuitive it is to say that coffee & tea should be less hot but I do think you should not be actively burning yourself to have tea at an appropriate temperature. We ordered a tea and the lid was not completely put on and I ended up pouring hot tea all down the front of me and burning myself. I like this restaurant but I did hurt myself and I don't want other people to. So please be super super cautious with your cups.
