City Pork LSU
102 Design Bldg, Baton Rouge, LA
Crema's Take
“City Pork LSU has recently rebuilt its reputation with a revamped menu featuring standout sandwiches like their shrimp salad and Cuban—hearty, flavorful options worth the trip even if service can be slow and prices run high. The cold brew and espresso drinks show promise when made with care, though consistency issues and an occasionally brusque staff can be frustrating, making this spot best suited for casual meetings where you're not in a rush and willing to overlook the uneven table cleanliness.”

city pork count your days for giving me half a sandwich for 13$. service is slow, prices are expensive, workers are kind and do their best but typically seem understaffed. coffee/espresso is inconsistent in quality but the food tends to be more consistent and fresh.
went back in because my iced latte tasted like it was just milk and sweetener. the oldest lady was rude and gave me a lecture on how the coffee is meant to be made instead of simply fixing the issue. after i didn’t back down, she finally goes “just put more espresso in her drink” and gave it back to me with a new shot. a $7 latte should taste like coffee. i appreciate them adding more espresso but the fact of the matter is she was rude and nasty to me when i had a simple complaint about an overly expensive coffee.
I wrote a bad review for this place years ago. Then they revamped the menu. Their shrimp salad and Cuban sandwich are wonderful. They've really turned the menu around and I had to amend my review because they won me over! Great lunch on campus Right now they're working in a small space while their original location is undergoing construction, so it can get hectic in there fast.
Food was good a big pork sandwich and ice coffee. The atmosphere was good just tables were not clean at all.
1st time I got the turkey and avocado and some cafe drink with flavors, I liked it a lot. It was good and filling. Today I got the ham and Swiss, Substituted the ham for turkey and it’s okay, very dry. I wished I gotten mustard or something and had the phantom latte. Overall I don’t come here often, it’s a little pricey and I wish they had fries and not chips.
