Crema's Take

This cat café in Newmarket offers a cozy escape where you can linger over traditional coffee drinks while spending time with adoptable felines, though be prepared that the cats are often napping rather than interactive. The vibe is relaxed and family-friendly with solid wifi, making it a genuine spot for meeting friends or killing an afternoon, though popular times fill up quickly so reservations are smart. Staff are genuinely welcoming, and while the cat experience might differ from expectations, it's a warmly-reviewed spot that rewards patience and realistic expectations about feline behavior.

It’s a great concept, but.there are few cats, they are mostly sleeping, two of the 4-5 available cats were already adopted(they were the friendly ones). We sat there for a long time waiting for something. The providers made no effort to help you get to know the cats. There were lots of rules. And they charged you for it. It doesn’t work. If you want to place animals in loving homes please put in the effort.

Not exactly what I was expecting, driving over with my son. Where we live animals are not allowed and my son really wants a cat so this seemed like a great alternative. What I didn't realize going in was that these are not cat's that just live there, they are waiting for adoption. So the ones that were there were extremely young and intimidated by people. They said there were 5 cats total but only 2 were out and they disappeared once another person came in this 2 young children. The take away I got was it's a great idea but from an outside prospective do not go in with the intentions of paying money to pet and play with cats. There is a real possibility that you won't even get close any of them in your set time. As for the rest of the place, it is extremely tiny and extremely narrow. Don't try to show up any earlier than necessary because trying to sit down while waiting for your appointment you end up feeling like you're in an aisle seat in a stadium and everyone has to pass by you. The teas were made fresh but asking for an iced chai you wind up with an extremely watered down tea by the time you get it. The concept of trying to socialize these felines for adoption is the only part I liked about going here. We ended up leaving well before our time was up considering the cats climbed all the way to the ceiling, curled up in little baskets placed up there to get away from the children.

I decided to take the boys and visit New Market for the Splash Pad m. Didn’t realize they don’t open until noon 30. We went looking for a place to snack and saw Tipsy Tabby was open. The boys always look in the window in excitement so we checked it out and what a spectacular experience for us! One cat was laying on the seating bench happy to see us. All the sudden he decided he wanted to introduce us to some others and started climbing the cat ladder ms to the top where 3 little gray heads popped up from their beds. One came down to play with both boys using every toy available and very playful. All the sudden another black kitty’s paws sprawled out from under the bench and my youngest began rubbing her belly. It was Arie and she was so friendly and even played some. We all enjoyed our experience and recommend visiting. Well worth the money for any cat lover

Went to see what Tipsy Tabby was about! Recommending reservations as the cat room can fill up quickly. The staff was friendly and luckily able to get us in. We stayed for a half hour taking in the sleeping Kitty's. A great concept to visit the cats and they are all available for adoption to find their forever homes. A great place to visit 🐈 and have a cup of coffee. Happy to support a business that helps the community. The staff is great as well!

It can get a little crowded, but otherwise a good experience! If you prefer a quieter space, try reserving during a time when there are fewer people. Many people don't seem to understand cats before coming here, and expect them to all be cuddly and looking for attention. With a time slot, you are guaranteeing time to be *nearby* some cats, not that they will like you. They are animals with individual backgrounds and personalities, not toys!
