Bolt Coffee
61 Washington St, Providence, RI
Crema's Take
“Bolt Coffee is a downtown Providence gem that takes its espresso seriously, pulling perfectly balanced lattes and offering thoughtful pour overs alongside creative seasonal drinks like apple syrup oat milk lattes and matcha that actually tastes fresh. The bright, plant-filled space is ideal for lingering over breakfast sandwiches elevated by homemade touches like tomato jam and avocado toast, and the genuinely friendly staff makes you feel genuinely welcomed whether you're there for a quick caffeine fix or a long morning. It's the kind of place that reminds you why Rhode Island takes its coffee culture seriously.”

Ordered a matcha and a hot chocolate. Both were delicious! The employees are very nice! Very clean and real plants! Definitely a nice spot to sit and enjoy some fresh coffee and food.
Now listen, we know everyone loves a coffee shop, but not all cafes nor caffecianados are made equally. Bolt Coffee is the epitomic display of why we are as much a coffee state as we are an Ocean state. First and foremostly, the butter and jam biscuit, there isnt a single breakfast item in the western hemisphere that can compare. And a good chai is harder to come then instagram would have you think, If you appreciate a properly made, spiced, and presented dirty vanilla chai w/ oat milk, look no further than this community staple. And lastly, and most importantly what makes a quality coffee shop; the vibe; the baristas are the kindest, most stylish, genuinely authentically sad about not having the item of your need and desire. The patrons are all on one accord; this is a place where you can work if need be, or chat, or flirt – at Bolt, it’s about energy, and everyone who finds themselves there just tends to pass the vibe/energy check required that’s kept me a loyal customer and dedicated fan for the better part of a decade
A chill cafe right in downtown that we went to twice. Breakfast options were amazing. While we enjoyed the breakfast sandwhich (the tomato jam made it) what was really amazing was the avocado toast with a soft boiled egg. It had some spice and a complex set of flavors that all clicked with each other. I’d definitely have that again. The biscuit was also incredible. As for drinks the Gingersnap is bold and packs a punch but what we really enjoyed was the Komorebi, what a stunning and memorable drink.
Excellent coffee, mediocre food. Had a whole milk latte, which I loved though on the pricier side. Perfect medium roast. The food was really disappointing especially considering the cost. The croissant was dry like it’d been baked a day before and left out. The breakfast sandwich was ok, but not worth $11. Nb. They only offer whole or oat milk.
The coffee and food here is amazing! I had a bacon and egg sandwich on gluten free bread with avocado, and an oat milk latte with apple syrup. Just WOW! Hubby had the same, but on a brioche bun with cheddar cheese and a Cortado. I highly recommend this place! It was clean, and the barista (Frankie) was so nice and helpful! Being gluten and dairy free sometimes has its problems. But not here! The music was a tad loud, but maybe I’m just getting old 😂will come back for sure!
